Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: My Eldest Daughter

Three days had passed since Ray and Lily left. Amy thought she was ready for it, but as soon as her son left, she became very scared — what if this was the last time she saw her son?

She truly loved Ray with all her heart, and like any loving parent, was ready to do anything for him, even give her life if necessary. But the truth was, she had always wanted a daughter. So Violet's presence helped her cope with the loneliness.

Having listened to her father's story, a tall girl with a toned body that showed she was actively involved in sports turned to the man in the wheelchair:

"Dad, do you think Mom is proud of me?"

"Of course, you've grown into a wonderful lady and fulfilled your mother's dream. I'm sure she's proud of you," the man said sincerely. From his tone, it was obvious he himself was proud of his daughter.

"From your story, I can understand that you had many doubts about whether you could be a good father. If you think I've grown up to be a good girl, that's mostly your doing."

"Before I met your mother, my life had no meaning. She breathed life into me. That's why her death was a heavy blow. I don't think I could have survived it if not for you."

"I was scared, but if you were happy, then I managed," he said with a smile.

"You were a very good father. If I had a choice, I wouldn't trade you for anyone else," the girl said sincerely.

"I'm very glad to hear that. I just need to marry you off, and then I can retire."

Charlotte had always known that her father missed her mother very, very much. She was sad that she didn't even remember her. But the girl loved her father very much, and the fact that he had no other women after her mother's death clearly said that her mother was an incredible woman.

"Dad, don't talk like that. You'll still have time to babysit your grandchildren," Charlotte said with a smile.

"Cut! Great!" Lily shouted.

Stepping out of character, Ray turned to his colleague:

"Thank you. You were a wonderful daughter. I hope my girls will be as charming as you."

"Yeah, you were a great father — the kind of father I never had. And as for your words... You say that to every actress who plays your daughter in this film."

"What can I do? My little one has excellent taste. All the actresses were wonderful."

"Little one, you did great. Come here, let Mom hug you," Lily said playfully, joining them and gently hugging the girl.

Softly pulling back, Lily said:

"Come on, we have something to tell you."

After the filming ended, she addressed the crew:

"Thank you, everyone. We did great work. Ray and I need to go home. Tim will handle the editing."
