The whole waterfront had turned into a different place overnight, and Vessa loved it.
She walked the harbor road with a basket on her hip and just grinned at all of it. They'd strung glass floats between the buildings, hundreds of them, blue, green, and pale gold, hanging on lines that crossed back and forth over the street so the whole road sat under a little glass sky. Wine stalls were going up everywhere, and the sellers were already fighting over who got which corner, which was honestly half the fun. Somebody two streets over was tuning a stringed thing very badly. The fish sellers had the late-summer catch out, the big silver stuff, the good stuff, the stuff Tideglass was actually about.
And every single piece of it had Katarina's fingerprints on it.
