"Are you okay?!" Orion asked, terror evident in his voice as he quickly helped Finn to his feet. Without wasting a second, he pulled out a handkerchief and gently wiped the blood splattered across Finn's face.
"Is he okay?" the Queen Mother asked anxiously as she hurried closer. Consort Sasha and Evelyn followed behind her, worry written all over their faces.
"I knew she was dangerous, Your Majesties," Prince Kaelith said coldly. "My apologies for startling everyone. I'll have her body taken away immediately, and the punishment of beheading will still stand. Her family will also be punished. Or does His Majesty have another punishment in mind for her?"
A smug smile appeared on Kaelith's face as he spoke.
Two guards had already entered the room. They picked up the lifeless maid whose throat had been slashed by Kaelith and carried her body away.
