"Please, take it easy, Your Majesty!" they all pleaded, their heads pressed firmly against the ground.
Orion quickly moved toward Finn and helped him to his feet. Afterward, he gently helped Darren sit upright before carefully settling him back onto the bed. Once he was sure Darren was comfortable, he turned his attention back to Finn.
"Woah! You're such a good actor," Finn whispered, his voice barely audible and only loud enough for Orion to hear. "I knew I could trust you."
"You'd better be ready to explain why you wanted me to cover for a cheating consort and claim that the child he's carrying is mine," Orion whispered back, his expression remaining calm despite the irritation hidden beneath his words.
Without waiting for a response, he turned his attention toward his kneeling consorts and his brother.
"You may all rise," Orion said.
Immediately, everyone obeyed and got to their feet.
