The training field of Core Mage Academy was a vast expanse of adaptive "smart-turf" that shifted its structure to match the training requirements.
Under the bright sun of the Core, Kaelen stood with his classmates in neat, disciplined rows.
For a five-year-old in the Core Era, physical education was not about sports or games; it was about preparing the body for handling more and more magic fibers.
Kaelen was doing normal stretch exercises when a burly teacher appeared in the field.
After inspecting everyone in the class once. He came to the center of the class and began to spoke "My name is Andrew, Expert Yarn Realm Mage. I will be responsible for you body conditioning."
Teacher Andrew physical frame was as lean and corded as a high-tension wire, his presence radiating a sharp, disciplined amber mana.
He projected his voice effortlessly across the field suing his mana, his tone carrying the weight of absolute authority.
"First things first. You should have some knowledge that fibers are connected to your nervous system. But while the nervous system is fixed fibers can be moved around inside and outside of your body. So the flexibility of fibers is very important. Now I will show you a Martial Arts exercise follow it closely."
When the command came to begin, Kaelen came into the stance following teacher andrew movements.
The Martial Art was a series of rhythmic expansions of the joints designed to pull the internal fibers toward the extremities.
This martial art is called Military Stretch and has three stages.
Beginner : Feeling the fibers position while doing the movements mentioned in the art.
Advance : The ability to hold the fiber at full extension while maintaining the stance.
Expert : Where the body and fiber move as a single, frictionless unit.
At this final stage, the fiber would grow rapidly because all resistance was removed. It will also help to create new fibers because stretching will create gap in the present fibers.
Professor Andrew stood by a massive obsidian white rectangle stone at the edge of the training field.
He tapped a command into his wrist watch, and a series of holographic displays flickered into existence, showing complex body structure on the stone.
"Magic in the Core Era is not a mystery," he stated. "It is about mastering your body and magic fiber."
He pointed to a specific fiber out of various type of fibers shown on the screen.
"Look at this fiber from one of our Academy alumni. "He is now Chief Master Sergeant. Look how his fiber is thicker then other fibers and more flexible and stretchable then others. Thickness of a person fiber is fixed but we can train other two characteristics. I want all of your fibers to become as flexible and stretchable as possible to make you able to transmit you mana more efficiently inside and outside of body by using these fibers."
Suddenly at the edge of the field, a series of high tech weight training stations rose from the smart turf.
These were gravity induction weight plates that could precisely measure a student's maximum output.
"Check your current strength," Andrew commanded. "And check your body stretching capability. For the next five years, our goal is to maximize these two variables along with fiber stretching and flexibility."
Kaelen stepped toward a weight and begin to lift it.
While other children grunted and struggled, their faces turning red as they tried to keep their weight in the air, Kaelen's red fiber slid moved from his neurons and covered his muscles to help him carry the weight.
The weight of the plate begin to increase but his fibers gathered at the required place more and more.
Professor Andrew stopped him when he begin to sweat and pointed him out to the class as the gold standard.
After the session, the students gathered in the shaded pavilion for lunch.
Andrew held up a translucent, glowing fruit called a Vitreous Pear, which shimmered with an inner light.
"From now you will daily eat a pear until your academy life ends. It will help to strengthen you fiber's a little more."
UCC provided these fruits at all the academies, ensuring every child reached their maximum potential.
Mina sat next to Kaelen, nibbling on her pear after completing her food while her silver thread pulsed with a melodic beat around her.
She leaned in and whispered "Kaelen you looked so effortless just now while holding that weight. Look at Vax there he tried to mimic you and in the process tore one of his magic fiber."
Kaelen looked at the boy on the other side whose face look pale.
"How was your weekend at home?" Mina asked, eyes bright. "I spent my time with my mother thinking on what to wear for my next audition!"
Kaelen looked at her, curious. "My time was good. I spent time with my parents and talked on phone to my grandparent; it was okay. Does not your family want you to be an mage engineer?"
Mina shrugged. "That is my family's hope for me and of course, to become powerful but my parents are open-minded. They said if I am studying and doing my things properly, I can do whatever I want in my extra time."
Kaelen nodded, realizing that Core had come far in this era. Society had evolved to a point where, despite the rigid hierarchy of power, people were truly open-minded about dreams and personal passions.
After a moment, Mina hesitated, her silver fiber flickering with a nervous rhythm. Kaelen looked at her and asked, "What now?"
"Can you tell me a name?" Mina asked tentatively. "One that would be good as a pseudonym or a stage name?"
Kaelen thought about it. "What about your parents' suggestions?"
"They thought of some," Mina admitted, "but they weren't very good."
Kaelen fell into a long silence. His mind drifted back to his previous life to the woman who had been his wife. She was a writer who had cherished her pen name.
"How about Seraphine Vale?" he suggested.
Mina was stunned by the name. She repeated it under her breath, her eyes widening as she looked at Kaelen. "Do you... did you know I would ask? Did you create this just for me?"
Kaelen diverted his attention, looking toward the horizon. "No. I just thought it was a good name."
In truth, that name was a piece of his past. In his previous life, he hadn't been a good husband in terms of giving his time, but he had tried to help her and understand her as much as he could.
A wave of sadness hit him as he thought of his wife and daughter. However, he reminded himself that he had left them a great deal of wealth to ensure they were cared for. He pulled himself out of the trance quickly.
On the far away star system from core system called Alpha Centauri C. A girl with blue eyes and unbelievable gorgeous figure opened her eyes. Cristine Florentine, genius of Florentine family , she has reached Begineer Yarn Realm at age 10.
She looked around her and still could not believe she was reincarnated. She has completed her husbands final rights and given her daughter all the property in her and her husbands name. She just wanted to live peacefully but she was never able to forget her husband before passing away.
Although he was obsessed with his work but he was never actually a bad husband other than being extremely busy. She still remember one day when she has a very high fever. He come back home even when the students exam was going on. He stayed by her side for the full day and went again to work only when I was okay.
He never shrieked from his responsibilities just his passion was too strong. She put her left hand on her head while still in bed. Breathing some frosty air due to her fiber property. If anyone look at her they will be hypnotised by her beauty. A soft blue green fiber's which are clustered together look like thin and long leafs swirling around her.
Cristine "I think I do not need love in this life. I will just be happy to live peacefully."
