Venusaur hesitated for a moment before agreeing. Though it would lose some of its dignity as king in front of its subjects, it didn't care much—it wanted to witness a broader sky.
To reach that realm, Venusaur wished to follow Red, to become even stronger. That was its desire. No battle-loving Pokémon would refuse the chance to grow stronger.
Unless it was one of those that willingly became mere pets—but for Venusaur, only battle could truly ignite its passion for life.
Channeling the power of nature, Venusaur stomped the ground fiercely. Countless thick, barbed vines sprouted from underground, growing at a visible speed. In mere moments, they expanded enough to cover the sky.
Under Venusaur's control, the massive thorns surged upward, devouring the Aerodactyl in the air.
Seeing this, Aerodactyl immediately opened its mouth and used Flamethrower. The blazing flames scorched the thorns, but the effect was minimal—instead, it only added damage marks to them.
The thorny vines, now crackling with sparks, slammed into Aerodactyl. The force was so great it pressed Aerodactyl to the ground, nearly preventing it from flapping its wings.
Frenzy Plant was Venusaur's final trump card. After seeing that even this move couldn't defeat Aerodactyl, it struggled to move—but the cost of using Frenzy Plant was a temporary state of immobility.
