"I heard that Kurenai Yuhi is the most beautiful jonin in Konaha Village and that she specializes in gengutsu, but I didn't know she had the habit of secretly following people."
Sora said calmly without even turning his head, as if he were simply speaking to himself.
At that moment, Kurenai Yuhi suddenly noticed that the scene before her had changed dramatically.
She had unknowingly fallen into a gengutsu.
"Can you tell me why you were following me?" Sora's figure appeared within the gengutsu world.
Speaking inside a gengutsu was far more convenient than talking in reality.
Kurenai frowned slightly, "I simply hide my presence when returning home, so how can you be certain that I was following you?"
She replied coldly. "Besides, you are an outsider. Casting gengutsu on a Konaha jonin is a provocation against Konaha."
Kurenai was clearly annoyed.
As a jonin who specialized in gengutsu, being caught in someone else's illusion—even a harmless one—was embarrassing.
"Is that so?" Sora replied calmly.
He neither confirmed nor denied her words.
A brilliant light suddenly flashed in his eyes.
Kurenai's eyes also glowed as she responded instinctively.
The gengutsu world around them began to distort violently. The two clashed mentally for a brief moment before the illusion shattered completely.
When Kurenai looked back to where Sora had been standing, he had already disappeared.
"Such powerful spiritual energy," Kurenai thought in shock.
Kakashi had not mentioned this.
According to Kakashi's report, Sora's taijutsu and ninjutsu were exceptional, but his gengutsu ability had been unclear.
Kurenai had originally assumed that gengutsu was Sora's weakness.
After all, every ninja had areas where they were less skilled.
But she had not expected that Sora would be able to compete with her—a jonin who specialized in gengutsu—and retreat safely from a clash of minds.
"Is he really the same age as Hinata and the others?" Kurenai murmured.
"Excellent in gengutsu, ninjutsu, and taijutsu... strong in every aspect. This Chunin Exams will definitely become interesting."
Kurenai Yuhi was known as one of Konaha's outstanding jonin.
She was usually calm and analytical, although she sometimes displayed a playful side that only made her charm more noticeable.
She had deliberately said those earlier words to test Sora.
But the truth was that she had simply been curious about him.
"I'm going this way. Are you sure this road leads back to your home?" Sora suddenly said.
Kurenai's eyes widened slightly.
Sora had appeared beside her without her noticing.
"Such speed!" she thought in shock.
She now realized that Sora might be even stronger than Kakashi had described.
Since leaving the Land of Waves, Sora's strength had continued to grow rapidly.
Tsunade had once told him that a ninja's strength before the age of twelve did not determine their future.
The period between twelve and twenty-five was the golden age of explosive growth for most ninja.
Even the Legendary Sannin had experienced their greatest growth during this time.
Sora had just entered that period.
And now that he had developed the prototype of a Bloodline Limit, his growth had accelerated even further.
Although Kurenai was a gengutsu-type ninja, becoming a jonin required excellent physical ability. Yet Sora's speed still shocked her.
His movements looked like pure taijutsu speed.
And yet Sora was equally skilled in ninjutsu and gengutsu.
Such a ninja was extremely rare.
"So this is what they call a genius," Kurenai thought.
"Heh," Sora chuckled slightly before turning and leaving.
He had already seen most of the Konaha jonin and the genin participating in the Chunin Exams.
It was time to return.
Kurenai watched his departing figure silently for a moment before smiling faintly.
"This Chunin Exams is going to be very interesting," she murmured.
"You won't be able to hide your abilities forever. Let me see just how outstanding the disciple of one of the Legendary Sannin truly is.
Sora the Ruthless... what a cold name. But his eyes are even colder."
Although Sora appeared calm and approachable, Kurenai had noticed something unusual.
His eyes had remained perfectly still from beginning to end.
Like calm water without a ripple.
It was as if no emotion or worldly desire could influence his judgment.
That kind of person was truly terrifying.
"I've already observed most of the Konaha genin participating in this exam, along with their instructors," Sora thought as he walked through the streets.
"My intelligence gathering is almost complete. If I fight them later, I'll already know how to deal with them."
Although Sora believed none of them could truly threaten him, he still showed no arrogance.
Just then, a familiar voice reached his ears.
"Kankuro, do you know what you're doing? Your behavior is embarrassing our village."
Sora's expression changed slightly.
So Gaara had already arrived.
Up ahead, the three ninja from the Sand Village were confronting Naruto and his team.
Interesting.
Among all the people Sora had encountered so far, Gaara was the only one who had truly pressured him in battle.
As for Uzumaki Naruto and Sasuke Uchiha, their current strength was still mediocre compared to Gaara.
Sora valued potential, but he valued current strength even more.
Potential without strength meant nothing.
Only someone who possessed both was worthy of attention.
And Gaara clearly qualified.
Even if Naruto and Sasuke had greater potential in the future, their current strength was simply too weak.
If someone died before reaching that potential, then even possessing the potential of the Six Paths Sage would mean nothing.
"Yes, I'm sorry," Kankuro said nervously. "They were the ones who provoked me first."
His fear of Gaara had only grown stronger over the years.
Gaara's power increased constantly.
"Shut up," Gaara said coldly. "If you keep talking, I'll kill you."
Suddenly, Gaara paused.
A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he turned his head toward someone approaching from the distance.
Everyone followed his gaze.
Temari and Kankuro's expressions immediately changed.
"It's him," Temari whispered.
Their pupils shrank in shock as memories resurfaced.
If Gaara was someone they feared...
Then Sora was someone they truly feared.
Years ago, Sora had been the first person to injure Gaara—a feat no one else had accomplished.
And the injuries had been severe.
Since that day, they had never forgotten him.
"It's Sora," Naruto said in surprise. "What is he doing in Konaha?"
Neither Naruto nor the others had expected to encounter him here again.
