"This is Konaha Village. If you are not from here, please present identification."
Sora was stopped immediately by two ninja at the entrance of Konaha.
Looking at the village before him, Sora couldn't help but admire it.
It was no wonder Konaha was known as the strongest of the Five Great Ninja Villages.
The village had once resisted a coalition of several ninja villages during the great wars, and its foundation was truly extraordinary.
Even the terrain provided a natural advantage.
Compared with other ninja villages, Konaha felt peaceful and comfortable, almost like a hidden paradise.
It was easy to understand why the people here possessed such a strong sense of belonging.
After all, this village had been built through the combined efforts of the Senju clan, the Uchiha clan, and many other powerful families.
How could such a place be simple?
"I'm here as a candidate for the Chunin Exams. This is my application," Sora said as he handed over the document.
The two ninja checked it briefly before stepping aside and allowing him to pass.
However, the moment he entered the gates of Konaha, Sora immediately noticed something.
He was being watched.
Of course, he wasn't the only one receiving such treatment.
Any ninja from another village, especially those here to participate in the Chunin Exams, would naturally be monitored by Anbu.
If anyone showed hostile intent, they would be arrested immediately.
Sora didn't care about the surveillance.
The Anbu also understood the proper limits. They followed from a distance and did not interfere with his actions.
Under normal circumstances, they would not reveal themselves.
Otherwise, visiting ninja from other villages would not tolerate such behavior.
After completing the registration process, Sora did not head directly to the hotel arranged by Konaha.
Instead, he began walking through the village.
On the surface, he appeared to be sightseeing, but in reality, he was scouting the terrain and quietly observing Konaha's strength.
"I see... the number of jonin here is quite large," Sora thought while walking through the streets.
"Among them are elite jonin like Kakashi. They are the backbone of Konaha. Even if the village has declined somewhat compared to the past, its strength is still terrifying."
The more he observed, the more cautious he became.
There were truly many jonin within the village.
When passing by the compounds of several major clans, Sora could clearly sense powerful auras hidden inside.
And not just one.
Konaha's visible strength was already impressive, but the hidden forces were even more frightening.
Destroying such a village would be extremely difficult.
"Hmm?" As Sora walked past a forest path, he sensed another powerful aura.
"A jonin," he thought. "Not as strong as Kakashi, but definitely not someone to underestimate."
Inside the forest stood a woman wearing a neat but slightly revealing outfit. She had long black hair and captivating red eyes.
Although her figure couldn't compare with Tsunade's overwhelming presence, her beauty carried a seductive elegance.
"That's Kurenai Yuhi," Sora thought.
The information Shizune had gathered for him included profiles of many Konaha ninja, and he had studied them carefully.
Meanwhile, Sora did not hide his presence.
Since he had entered Konaha openly for the Chunin Exams, there was no reason to conceal himself.
Kurenai's senses were extremely sharp.
The moment she turned her gaze toward Sora, recognition flashed in her eyes.
"It's him," she thought.
When Kakashi returned from the Land of Waves, he had reported an event far more significant than their encounter with Zabuza.
And that report included information about Sora.
For someone like Kakashi—who was famous for having extremely high standards—to praise someone of the same age as his students was extraordinary.
As a jonin instructor herself, Kurenai couldn't help feeling curious.
Was this boy really as remarkable as Kakashi claimed?
She had not expected him to appear right in front of her.
"Sensei?" one of her students asked.
Standing beside her were her three students:
Hinata Hyuga, shy and gentle.
Shino Aburame, calm and composed.
And Kiba Inuzuka, accompanied by his ninken Akamaru.
They followed Kurenai's gaze and noticed the boy standing not far away.
He looked about their age, yet his aura felt strangely mature.
"Woof! Woof!" Akamaru suddenly barked softly.
Kiba's expression changed immediately.
When he looked at Sora again, it felt as though he were staring at a dangerous beast.
Even Shino, who normally remained perfectly calm, stiffened slightly.
Kurenai noticed the change in her students and asked, "What's wrong, Kiba? Shino?"
"Akamaru says that person is terrifying," Kiba whispered. "He says we absolutely shouldn't provoke him. This is the first time I've seen Akamaru react like this."
"And you, Shino?"
Shino remained silent for a moment before replying quietly.
"The insects are afraid."
"What?"
This time Kurenai was genuinely surprised.
Akamaru's warning and the fear of Shino's insects both meant the same thing.
This boy was not simple.
Her interest in Sora grew even stronger.
"Could he be here for the Chunin Exams?" she wondered.
Meanwhile, Sora observed the group calmly.
"Their individual strength is decent for genin," he thought.
"Shino Aburame is the exception. His strength has already reached the level of a chunin. He's clearly hiding his true ability.
If these three combine the Byakugan, the ninken, and the Aburame insect techniques, their teamwork would be extremely troublesome."
Sora's greatest advantage was preparation.
Even while simply observing them, he was already imagining how he would fight them if they became enemies.
By preparing mentally in advance, he could gain a huge advantage in battle.
"This exam will be interesting."
After watching for a moment, Sora withdrew his gaze and left without looking back.
"Shino, Hinata, Kiba, you're dismissed," Kurenai said.
Originally she had intended to report the situation to the other jonin and the Hokage immediately.
However, because of her students' reactions and her own growing curiosity, she decided to quietly follow Sora instead.
A jonin secretly observing a chunin exam candidate was normally beneath her status.
But Sora's mysterious identity and Kakashi's praise had ignited her curiosity.
And once a woman's curiosity was stirred, even the most composed person might act unexpectedly.
