The two landed at the VIP entrance on the top floor of the mall. Tornado tidied her wind-blown curls: "Stay close to me, don't run off."
Allen looked at his tight T-shirt and sighed helplessly: "Where do you think I can run off to like this?"
Tornado sized up his comical outfit, a smile unconsciously curving her lips: "Serves you right."
But then her face became serious again, "Hurry up and buy clothes, I don't want to be gawked at by passersby."
Walking into the high-end men's clothing store, the shop assistant was visibly stunned by the pair's combination. Tornado floated in the air, waving her small hand: "Find him a few sets of suitable clothes, quickly."
Allen was pushed into the fitting room. Tornado floated outside, waiting. She idly played with her curls when she suddenly heard Allen's voice from inside the fitting room: "Tornado, how's this one?"
The curtain was pulled open, and Allen walked out in a well-tailored black suit. Tornado's pupils slightly widened. This outfit made him appear tall and spirited, completely different from how he looked in his hero uniform.
"It's…it's alright," Tornado turned her face away, her green curls slightly swaying: "But why dress so formally? It's not like you're going on a date…"
Allen looked down: "I think it's quite comfortable." He turned to go back into the fitting room but was stopped by Tornado.
"Wait!" Tornado floated in front of him, her small hand tugging at his tie: "This is tied wrong, you idiot with no common sense." Her fingers deftly adjusted the tie, then she suddenly realized how close they were, close enough to feel each other's breath.
Tornado abruptly recoiled, her green curls flaring: "Do it…do it yourself! I'm not helping you!"
Allen looked at her flustered expression and the rapidly rising Crossing value on his system panel, finding it quite amusing: "I didn't expect Miss Tornado to know how to tie a tie."
"None of your business!" Tornado floated to the side, her heart rate, however, uncontrollably accelerating.
"Tornado, what are you doing? Why do you care what he wears?"
In the end, Allen chose a few sets of casual wear and sportswear. Tornado carried the shopping bags with her Psychokinesis, and as the two were about to leave the mall, the mall's alarm suddenly blared.
"Warning! Warning! Monster have appeared on District B Street in A City Center! Citizens please evacuate in an orderly fashion!"
Tornado's brows furrowed immediately: "Trouble."
She turned to Allen: "You wait here, I'll be right back."
Allen, however, grabbed her wrist: "I'm coming too."
"No!" Tornado shook off his hand: "Your current situation is special, you can't."
"I'm fine." Allen's eyes became serious: "Besides, aren't you always watching over me?"
Tornado bit her lower lip, her face full of conflict: "What if he turns into a Monster during the battle? But if I don't let him go, he'll definitely sneak after me. Even if he doesn't, if he turns into a Monster in the mall, the impact would be even more severe."
Finally, she conceded: "Stay close to me, don't leave my sight!"
The two rushed to District B and found a giant lizard Monster destroying a mall. Tornado was about to act, but Allen charged forward first.
"Hey!" Tornado cried out in alarm, immediately following with her Psychokinesis. She nervously observed Allen's every move, ready to intervene at any moment.
Allen swung his right fist, carrying boundless airwaves, and blasted towards the lizard Monster.
"Boom!"
The giant lizard Monster was instantly blasted into a rain of blood that splattered on the ground. Tornado's pupils suddenly contracted at this sight. Allen was known for his Psychokinesis; when did his physical abilities become so strong? Were the Monster cells starting to work?
The power of that punch made her have to wonder if the Monster cells in Allen's body had already begun to affect him.
Tornado's green curls swayed violently. She floated in front of Allen, her small hand gripping his large palm: "Hey! Rookie! What was that punch just now?"
"Oh no! I had too much fun punching in Demon Slayer and forgot to use Psychokinesis!" Allen secretly thought to himself, then blinked innocently: "What do you mean?"
"Stop playing dumb!" A hint of worry flashed in Tornado's green eyes: "When did you get such strong physical power? Are the Monster cells taking effect?"
Allen looked down at his fist, deliberately showing a thoughtful expression: "Maybe it's the result of practicing boxing with Master Bang recently?"
"Liar!" Tornado gripped Allen's fingers tightly: "Bang's boxing, no matter how powerful, couldn't let you punch a Dragon-Level Monster to smithereens!"
Allen looked at Tornado's nervous expression and gently squeezed her wrist: "Tornado, calm down."
"How can I calm down!" Tornado shook off his hand, green energy fluctuating violently around her: "Do you know what this means? If the Association finds out, you'll be taken for research."
Her voice abruptly stopped. She vigilantly looked around, confirming no one was nearby, before continuing: "In short, from now on, you are not allowed to make a move!"
Allen looked at her deeply. He wanted to pull Tornado into his rebellion, but the words were swallowed back before he could speak them.
After all, how could Tornado rebel with him? Their relationship wasn't that good, and he didn't need to drag innocent people into a rebellion. He could regenerate infinitely, but Tornado couldn't.
Unless… he turned her into a demon? This thought was immediately dismissed by Allen. He wasn't some kind of devil and couldn't do such a thing.
Allen spread his hands, feigning helplessness: "Then what do I do if I encounter a Monster?"
"I'll handle it!" Tornado floated in front of Allen, her green eyes looking directly at him: "Until I figure out what's going on inside you, you are not allowed to use any abilities, understand?"
Allen looked at the girl in front of him, who was much smaller than him but tried hard to put on a dignified posture, and nodded: "Alright, I'll listen to you."
Tornado then let go of his collar, her green curls slightly swaying: "Hmph, good thing you're sensible."
She turned and floated towards the mall, but after flying a distance, she stopped again, turned back, and glared at Allen: "What are you still standing there for? Catch up."
Allen quickly followed. The two returned to the mall, one after the other. Tornado carried the shopping bags with her Psychokinesis, her small face tense throughout, occasionally stealing glances at Allen from the corner of her eye.
"Um…" Allen was about to speak.
"Shut up!" Tornado immediately interrupted him: "Come home with me right now. I need to thoroughly check your body… condition."
"It's all because of you, I didn't even get to eat the ice cream I wanted," she mumbled.
Allen was enveloped by Tornado's Psychokinesis, and the two ascended into the air. During the flight, Tornado's green curls swayed violently, clearly indicating her unsettled mood.
