Lazarus is sitting on the hood of the cruiser, observing the training of his pokemon.
Aurora creates a shard of ice that looks like a triangle, the triangle isn't perfect but it will get there, and hurls it at Eidolon, who is her training partner for the day.
Dozens of rocks floats around Eidolon, his goals is to intercept the ice shards with these rocks without losing control of them.
Eidolon makes all the rocks orbit him, he was told that he needs to do more than just accelerating the rocks at a target, he needs to learn to do complex maneuvers through Levitation, and this is how he is going to do it.
The shard of ice collides against one of the rocks and shatters. Aurora's goal is to create shards of different shapes and sizes. Hooks, triangles, spikes and any other shape Lazarus could think a use of.
She is also practicing the art of making the shards more lethal by making them harder. All she has to do is apply more energy to the shards and compress them to make them harder.
On the other side of the camp. Kamish and Sol train together.
Kamish floats in the air, waiting for Sol to make his move.
Sol cups his hands together and points his open palms towards Kamish. Flames fly through his palms, the flames are weak, and not by choice.
As the flames reach him, Kamish becomes intangible. Sol's goal is to learn to use flamethrowers from any part of his body while Kamish has to increase the time he can stay in his intangible state.
Paired with a great learning ability and useful training tactics, they are learning new things everyday.
Hours later, Lazarus and the pokemon sit around the camp to eat their lunch.
Kamish looks at Aurora with worry, he hasn't talked to her since the incident a few hours ago. Last time he tried talking to her, she gave him the cold shoulder.
They aren't connected by the psychic link right now. They weren't allowed to use psychic links during the fights and Eidolon needed all his psychic power while practicing so Kamish doesn't know exactly what Aurora is feeling, other than knowing the fact that she is angry.
He grabs a berry with his fin like arms and floats next to her.
She ignores him, Kamish pokes her with his tail. She tries to bite his tail, but he quickly moves it away.
Kamish puts the berry in front of her, her favorite one, which also happens to be the one he gave her when they first met.
Aurora creates a hammer like ice structure and smashes the berry into paste and goes back to eating her food.
Sol and Eidolon sense trouble, they pick up their lunch box and sit a little further away from the two and pretend not to notice anything, lest they become victim of some stray ice attack.
Lazarus is aware of the tension between Aurora and Kamish, it's the first real conflict among his pokemon, but decides to let the two of them sort it among themselves. They need to solve this naturally, if he helps them make peace this time, they will become depended on him to keep peace in the family, which is neither healthy nor efficient. Besides he has faith that neither of them can stay angry at each other for long.
Kamish look at the remains of the berry he gave his sister and feels sad. She is more angry at him then he thought.
He floats back to his lunch box, grabs it with his tail and brings it back to Aurora. He places the lunch box in front of her again, same spot where he put the berry that got splattered. He doesn't care if she throws his entire lunch box away, having her talking to him again is much more important than food.
Aurora buries her head deeper into her own box, and doesn't even look at the his.
At least she didn't destroy the food given by him like last time, that has to be an improvement? Kamish thinks.
He decides to keep floating there, watching and not eating.
Ten minutes go by. Aurora has finished her food but still hasn't looked up at him. She is pretending to still be busy eating.
Lazarus took Sol and Eidolon and is giving them some training pointers.
Eventually, Aurora gets annoyed and looks up at Kamish with irritation evident in her eyes. Kamish smiles her and uses his tail to slide his lunch box towards her again, hoping she would accept his peace offering this time.
She uses her paw to slide the box back towards him, curls up and then pretends to have fallen asleep.
Minutes later, she opens her eyes to see if he left her alone or not.
Nope. He is still there, watching her and not leaving her alone like the annoying dragon he is.
Fed up, she gets up and walks over to where they fought last time and snarls at him. A challenge.
Kamish is overjoyed with the realization that she is giving him a chance to right his wrongs.
Kamish nods and then floats to where Lazarus is. He pokes him on the shoulder and then points at Aurora with his tail. Asking permission to right.
Lazarus smiles and nods, "I'll allow it. Don't hurt each other, but don't be like last time either."
Kamish goes back to Aurora and sees her determined expression. He takes a deep breath and gets ready to fight for real this time.
Aurora lets out a howl. Starting the match.
Kamish channels dragon force through his body as Aurora generates numerous ice shards.
When done, Kamish dashes towards her and she hurls the ice towards him.
Kamish powers through the ice shards, all of them break against his body, no problem. But they do manage to slow him down enough for Aurora to leap out of his way.
She turns back towards him and fires Ice Beam at him, the ice beam hits Kamish and starts freezing his body, until he becomes intangible, which breaks the ice crystals that were forming around him as the beam passes through him.
Aurora doesn't stop the beam and keeps at it, seconds later Kamish becomes tangible and starts freezing again.
Kamish cycles dragon force through his body again and uses Dragon Dash.
Kamish tackles her and knocks her away, throwing her on her back.
Aurora quickly uses Blizzard. She generates a localized ice storm around her with her as the center. It's meant to serve two functions, first is to hide her from Kamish and the second function of the blizzard is its coldness. It's meant to be a deterrent against approaching or attacking her, but she doesn't think the cold will be much of a problem for Kamish.
Kamish takes to the sky and looks down, trying to see if he can spot Aurora from there. He can see the blizzard becoming bigger but can't see her inside of it.
He decides to use the move he used against Nuzleaf at the arena. Channeling dragon force again, Kamish dashes straight into the blizzard and starts spinning like a fan.
Ice and hail starts flying around wildly as the wind generated by his spinning starts fighting against the storm generated by Aurora.
Small pieces of ice keep colliding against Kamish's body, but his body has been augmented by dragon force, so he doesn't feel much.
Aurora looks at her little brother crazily spinning like a fan and stealing her storm to create a vortex. She is sure he didn't even know spinning like this would do that. He managed to foil her plan of creating a trap inside the blizzard by being... himself.
Aurora uses Ice Beam on him but his spinning body keeps destroying the ice crystals that form. She decides to run out of the storm or else she will get caught by the vortex.
Soon, Kamish starts feeling dizzy from all the spinning and puts a brake on it. The ice storm is gone, the air around the camp feels fresh and chill, it's like the oxygen around the place got purified.
He spots Aurora, she has more than twenty ice shards around her, ready to fire at him any time.
While he was creating the vortex, she was creating these. These are also much harder than the ones she normally makes.
Kamish squints his eyes at the shards, a wild look in his eyes. The match is no longer about making up with Aurora but to defeat her with everything he has got, that is how he is going to honor her request for a fight.
Aurora hurls one third of the shards at him first, and another batch of the same amount a few seconds later.
Kamish turns intangible to dodge the first batch of shards. He will have to either weave a way through the shards, get hit or get out of the way of the shards with his superior speed.
Kamish decides to use Dragon Tail, there isn't enough space between the shards for him to travel through and he refuses to run way. That is not the dragon way.
Kamish uses his tail to break every single one of the shards in rapid succession.
Kamish now looks at Aurora, he can see her breathing heavily, she must be out of energy.
Aurora shoots the last third of the shards at him as Kamish prepares for a Dragon Dash.
Kamish tears through the shards and keeps advancing towards Aurora.
Aurora creates a wall of ice in front of her with the last remaining energy she has left.
Kamish shatters against the ice wall, breaking it into pieces and then collides against Aurora.
Aurora is sent flying back, she rolls around a few times before coming to a stop.
She tries to get back up, but she can't. Too tired.
Then she hears the sound of clapping and turns around to see Lazarus and Sol clapping.
Eidolon would have clapped too if he could, he tries to bang two rocks together to make the sound, but it's not the same.
"That was amazing." Lazarus says, walking over to Aurora, "Beautiful match. Good job Aurora, you proved to him that you are more than capable of fighting him as an equal."
Kamish nods, the match felt invigorating, he is also out of energy himself. His big sis not only managed to keep up with him but also made him go all out.
Kamish floats back to his lunch box, grabs it and puts it in front of Aurora again.
Aurora gives him a toothy grin and accepts his peace offering, she bites into one of the berries and leaves the rest for him to finish.
She leaps into Lazarus's arms with all the strength she can muster and faints out of exhaustion.
