Memories from last night had refused to leave my head.
The first half of it must have been humiliating, but I couldn't deny that I had loved the fact that Kael came to my rescue and clarified everything in front of everyone.
I wasn't going to lie.
I had not expected him to do that, and everything came as a complete shock. Does that mean he was starting to fall for me too?
At first, I thought he only said those things to save me from further embarrassment, but then he admitted that he truly meant every word. The way he had called me his woman still replayed in my mind over and over again.
Who would have imagined?
Then there was Riven. That was the first time I was going to see him angry, and his actions said a lot. The way he had asked if I was fine after murdering three men in cold blood.
