Zee jolted, her gaze vacant. She had completely lost focus, her energy drained by the turbulent memories.
"W-what? What did you say?" Zee asked back, her breathing ragged.
Jonathan inhaled, his brow furrowing slightly at her lack of response. "I asked if you were still capable of pushing this weight?" He repeated his words with clear emphasis.
Zee tried hard to collect her consciousness. "Yes," she answered, too quickly and sounding forced.
