It was late, and the rescue camp was shrouded in a cold, heavy silence. Alya walked slowly toward the logistics tent to fetch her dinner rations. She moved with as much ease as she could manage, though her movements were limited, her right shoulder swathed in thick bandages as a painful reminder of the day's mission.

The figure she recognized all too well, the same man who had just lashed out at her with such fury, was holding a woman in his arms. It was Major Satria.
