The next morning.
Morning light filtered softly through the gaps in the hotel suite curtains, illuminating Safea as she began to wake. The first thing she realized was the warmth of a body enveloping her. She was held in Reno's embrace, and he was still fast asleep, his breathing steady.
The memory of the previous night's madness hit Safea instantly. A sudden wave of guilt slammed into her chest, cold and sharp.
"What have I done," Safea whispered, squeezing her eyes shut and wishing this was all just a nightmare.
She did not dare move from her comfortable position in Reno's arms. Slowly, she opened her eyes and began to study Reno's face as he slept peacefully beside her. Without the cold expression he had worn the night before, he looked far more peaceful and alluring.
