Even before she came into possession of her Artifact, Nova had always swayed between highly lucky and supremely unlucky.
From a school exam cancelled for the one subject she had forgotten to study for - lucky.
To a ship botching its landing and crashing into the depot on the day she had chosen to visit, resulting in a piece of flying shrapnel striking the side of her face - shit out of luck.
So when her Artifact chose to mark itself over the top of that very same scar, it was essentially just another Tuesday. And when she discovered what it could do, Nova failed to see how it would change her day-to-day life.
Until she began to notice the glaring twists of fate that was.
It had to be their team, for instance, led by Nova specifically, who saw the Zenian duo wipe out that nest of demons; the sight of which led to Yan wishing to join them in the first place.
