"I'll ignore the fact that you're still plotting against me." Issei sighed as he looked at Rias. "Just save Asia."
"Hyoudou, I'm not plotting against you. I was just observing fallen angels in my territory," Rias commented.
"Whatever. Just save Asia. She has a Sacred Gear, she'll be useful to you." Issei placed Asia's head on his lap.
"And why would I save her?" Rias bit her lip, trying to act tough.
"Because if you save her, I'll be eternally grateful to you." Issei looked directly into Rias's eyes. "You'll have the favor of a Dead Apostle."
"A Dead Apostle?" Rias asked in surprise. She had never heard that name before.
It wasn't in the Underworld's records or anywhere else.
"The highest class of vampires... those who are legends because they are immortal," Issei replied in his mind, and he was right.
What he had learned about vampires from Ddraig didn't match the Apostles. The vampires Ddraig spoke of weren't immortal and didn't have such impressive regeneration.
Except for Dracula, of course, who could regenerate from a single drop of blood, but that wasn't the standard.
Issei knew that his servants and powers came from another world, brought by Zelretch, and that he had become a Dead Apostle through the Berserker card.
Vlad the Impaler, the vampire Dracula, had turned him into an Apostle the moment the card activated.
But since the Dracula of this world also had regenerative abilities similar to the Apostles, Issei decided to use that to his advantage.
"Gfhh." Issei returned from his thoughts with a grimace when he saw Rias's shining eyes looking at him like a piece of meat.
"This is wonderful, Hyoudou-san. You owe me one." Rias winked at him. "Even though I was going to reincarnate her anyway."
"Hey, give my favor back!" Issei pointed at Rias and shouted with a grimace. "You demon!"
"That I am." Rias smiled, amused by his outburst.
After some time, Rias used her Bishop piece to resurrect Asia, and the girl woke up in a panic.
But she was calmed by Issei, and the situation settled down.
"So, what should we do with them?" Rias looked at Raynare and Mellt, who were unconscious on the floor.
"Miss Raynare, Miss Mellt..." Asia ran toward them, and Rias almost shouted, but Issei stopped her.
"I'll take care of them," Issei said with a sigh. "I'll fulfill a promise."
He remembered Kalawarner and decided not to kill the two of them.
"Okay, just don't let them cause any trouble," Rias replied indifferently and waited for Asia to heal them before taking her away.
A while later...
"Aaaahhhh!" Raynare woke up screaming in despair and looked around. "Asia..."
"She's fine." A voice came from beside her, and she looked over in shock.
"Hyoudou Issei..." Raynare murmured. "How are you alive?"
Raynare couldn't believe it. She was completely shocked because she was certain she had killed him.
"If you'd done proper research, you'd know I have excellent healing powers." Issei smiled at her. "But luckily, you didn't."
He grinned mischievously and jumped away from the bed.
"Now get up, because I don't want my parents coming in and seeing you two in my bed, especially her." He pointed at Mellt. "I don't want them getting the wrong idea about me."
"You... But I killed you," Raynare murmured. "Why aren't you angry?"
She couldn't understand how someone could forgive the person who attacked and tried to kill them.
"Be grateful that you're hot." Issei made a perverted face while looking at Raynare's body.
"Noooo!" She blushed and jumped back. "Pervert!"
"Hahaha, now that you understand... get out of my house and take that loli with you." Issei pointed at Mellt. "Go on."
"But we have nowhere to go." Raynare's expression darkened as she looked down. "We betrayed Grigori."
That was true. Going against Neri, a six-winged fallen angel, was considered treason against Grigori, and because they were half-human, they were already looked down upon by many, even if Azazel and the other leaders opposed such prejudice.
Issei looked at them, sighed, looked again, and sighed once more.
"You're really lucky you're hot," he muttered. "I'll find a place for you to stay."
He walked over to the closet, took out a key from his pocket, and inserted it into the lock.
"This is my workshop, the most sacred place to me, where I train and rest." For the first time, his expression became serious. "Here, this is a spare key... don't make me regret this."
"This is a pocket dimension?" Raynare's eyes widened in shock. "Only beings of great power can create something like this."
"It's nothing special," Issei joked, pointing at the door that led into an endless space. "It's just a bounded field. Now get in before my parents come."
Raynare picked up Mellt and looked at Issei gratefully.
"Thank you."
"Don't thank me. I'm only doing this because you're hot and I want to sleep with you," Issei said coldly.
Raynare simply laughed.
"You're a terrible liar."
(Did you see that, partner...? Hahahaha!) Ddraig burst into laughter.
