Garon didn't lower his stance for a second. His fur bristled, a viscous string of saliva dripping from his bared fangs.
"It's the dead of winter. Leave. We have no room or food to spare for random, wandering beasts."
"Oh, look at how fiercely the little puppy barks," Hatori's younger brother, Taka, sneered, letting out a sharp, mocking whistle from behind him.
"Do you think we care about your pathetic cave rations? We fly above the clouds while you miserable carnivores huddle in the dirt, shivering and starving for three months. If anything, 'we' should be the ones offering you pity."
