My ears perked up instantly at the mention of the chief's exiled, troublesome daughter. "What did Lola do now?"
"After the beating you gave her in the central field, she tried to act tough around the village square, acting like she was still the chief's proud daughter," Donna sneered, a satisfied smirk on her lips.
"But absolutely nobody gave her face. Every single female completely ignored her, and the warriors wouldn't even help her mates carry firewood. She's completely powerless now. She spends all her time hiding in her hut, throwing tantrums."
"Good," I muttered coldly. "She earned every bit of that isolation."
Taking a sip of the warm herbal tea Jor had quietly set near us, I decided to steer the conversation toward the new arrivals.
"Speaking of females... did you see the two sisters who arrived with our caravan yesterday? Celine and Luna?"
