[3rd POV]
The following dinner and family time had been pretty fun. As they had all sat around and just talked about all sorts of things, mostly Billie and her appearance on the Ellen show, and what that might mean for her and Haley.
There was a lot of things that would come out of that show, and a lot more that would be happening thanks to her appearing on it.
Soon New Years had come around, which had been celebrated as a family. The day itself wasn't too insane, but they had enjoyed the sights.
______________
[Short Flashback]
Billie and Haley stood side by side, looking up into the night skies as fireworks lit up the skies above. The distant sounds of fireworks going off echoing throughout the normally quiet night.
"It's beautiful" Haley muttered, leaning against her as Billie smiled. Staring at the same cluster of fireworks as her girlfriend.
"Mmhmm. Too bad it smells terrible" Billie replied, leading to Haley letting out a soft laugh, nodding.
"Yeah, but I think the view makes up for it. How come you aren't lighting anything off?" Haley asked, looking up at Billie.
"I want my first proper fireworks show, where I light them off and enjoy the view, to be somewhere that's my own. And I don't want to do it alone, but with you" Billie replied, making Haley blush slightly at her words.
"G-Guess we'll just have to start looking for that house then" Haley said.
"Guess so"

[Flashback End]
The night had been a relatively relaxing one, fun, but relaxing. The rest of the family had mostly left them to their own devices after seeing them all lovey dovey with one another.
With Haley's words in her mind, Billie had started to truly find some houses that would be of interest to her and Haley. Using Phil to find some realtors that could help with the process, they had managed to track down a few properties so far, but none of them were perfect, not yet. And the best one of them had been damn expensive, and in a neighborhood neither of them liked very much.
So they were still searching.
During the time after the New Years, leading up to February, she had spent a lot of her time working.
Finalizing her album, making sure everything was perfect down to the last tiniest detail. Making the merch for the new album, and the previous ones and having the older albums merch released.
Hiring new workers that would help with the process, making her life far easier. And even using her rapidly growing wealth to invest further into her business. Buying out minor local groups that she was interested in.
This mostly consisted in more coffee shops, restaurants, small stores, and even a couple of minor record labels that were merged into her own. The wealth that those would bring her would show itself in the coming years. All of them were watched over by the people she had hired specifically for this job, as well as weekly check-ins by herself.
She had also continued to invest into real estate, but only on a small level.
Billie planned on soon delving into some new areas, and even investing into building up an entirely new company. One that is not connected to her record label.
Said record label was getting bigger and bigger, especially now that she had released the information on her new album. She had a few new artists on her payroll, and was going to be making a killing thanks to it. As she had only signed those that had a lot of potential, and those that she knew would be relatively popular.
Billie had done a few other things besides investing and growing her companies and personal wealth.
For one, she had been working with Haley quite extensively, helping her finish up her own album, and getting it up to her personally acceptable level. Haley planned on releasing it a month after Billie, and wanted to have it done now so she could focus on something else.
This being fashion.
Billie hadn't been lying to her girlfriend when she had told her that she would help her out with it. And she had kept her promise, after she ended up getting into contact with a few local fashion designers that were well known and quite famous in the space.
She ended up finding one that was willing to work with Haley, and even mentor her a bit. The woman they had chosen would only help her though, and would not actively help her that much. That way Haley could develop and grow mostly on her own.
Haley was already investing quite a bit of money into starting her fashion design career, but she was also playing it safe. She didn't want to overinvest and need to get Billie's help for money.
But thanks to her working on her own merch for the album she was going to make, she would likely remake most of the investment pretty quickly. That, and Billie had helped her invest in a few companies that would make some good money in the future, so she would be fine either way.
In the long run at least.
Billie had also been contacted again by the Kardashians, and had confirmed the exact date that she would go by to meet up with them. It was in February, same with another visit she had decided on doing to a school in LA.
The same school that Victorious took place in.
She hoped to help out some of the characters that she knew so much from the show, as well as do a bit of mentoring for the ones that need it. Which...was most of them. They all had a ton of potential, but from what she remembers, most of them were squandering it due to their own ignorance and the actions of those around them.
Primarily their parents and teachers.
She even thought about the idea of becoming a guest teacher every once in a while, as she figured it could be a fun thing to do, and could help out the future artists. She could have attended the school, had she been younger. But she wasn't big enough at the time, and she wasn't really interested either.
At the moment Billie was sitting in her apartment, sipping on her morning coffee as she read through the papers in front of her, detailing her merch sales, the profits, and the potential idea of doing another wave of the same merch, so that more people could get their hands on some.
Billie hummed and began to sign some of the papers, mostly involving the merch, signing off on another three waves of merch. Which should make her millions of dollars each.
She had also signed off on a few ads that wished to use her music, which would net her another big chunk of change, and had signed off on her music being used in some stores as background music.
It would all make her money, and would only be used in very specific areas, plus it'd only be used by companies that she didn't mind very much.
Billie imagined that Haley was getting a hell of a lot more offers, as her music was far more suited for advertisements, background music, and the like. But she wasn't about to complain.
With that, Billie got back to work, one thought on her mind as she got to the next stack of papers.
'...I hate paperwork'
