"You lied to me."
Felix turned around, his gaze flickering with irritation as it landed on the still-damp strands of Hiro's blond hair.
Hiro stared back at him, his lips parting slightly while he carefully searched for the safest answer.
Felix rarely got angry, but whenever he did, it usually meant he had taken something personally. The problem was that Hiro had lied to him so many times over the years that even he couldn't tell which lie Felix had discovered.
"…About?" the beta asked, forcing himself to sound as clueless as possible.
He couldn't let Felix know.
Not about the countless lies he had woven together over the years.
Not when one wrong answer could expose every single one of them.
He would rather play the fool than reveal everything himself.
"You told me you had already taken a shower," Felix replied, frowning as he folded his arms across his chest. "Yet you just walked out of the bathroom."
For a brief moment, Hiro simply stared at him.
