Although Nick Fury did not possess the same depth of biological knowledge as Tony Stark or Bruce Banner, as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., he understood far better than ordinary people what this scene truly represented.
"JARVIS," Tony suddenly asked, "can you do this?"
"Sir," JARVIS replied calmly,
"I am capable of constructing a structural model of this level, but only with assistance from one of the company's off-site supercomputer facilities."
"Based on my simulations, approximately eighty percent of the total combined computational power would be required."
Tony froze.
"You're telling me," he said in disbelief, "that your current processing power isn't enough to simulate that structure?"
"That is correct, Sir," JARVIS admitted without hesitation.
"My current computational capacity is insufficient."
Tony was stunned.
JARVIS was already operating at a level comparable to a national-grade supercomputer—
and yet it still required the additional power of another supercomputing cluster.
So what level of processing power did Lucas's brain possess?
"Are you saying Lucas's brain is equivalent to two supercomputers?" Nick Fury asked in shock.
"More or less," Tony replied, not bothering to explain further to a non-specialist.
No one understood JARVIS's capabilities better than Tony himself.
At this moment, he was seriously beginning to doubt whether Lucas could still be classified as human.
"But what does this have to do with reviving Lois?" Captain America asked, frowning.
"Surely Lucas isn't planning to recreate an entirely new body?"
"I've heard biologists discuss something called 'regenerative cradle' technology," Steve continued.
"Cultivating cells to form new tissue capable of repairing any bodily damage."
Bruce Banner nodded and added,
"At the nanometer scale, precise manipulation could theoretically rebuild severed limbs, reconnect nerves and blood vessels—"
"—and even create an entire body from scratch."
Natasha Romanoff frowned.
"That sounds like cloning."
"No," Banner shook his head.
"Cloning requires time to cultivate an embryo. Regenerative cradle technology drastically shortens that process."
"But it has a fatal flaw," Banner continued seriously.
"Even if a body can be reconstructed, the brain—the most complex organ of all—cannot be fully replicated."
Nick Fury's expression darkened.
S.H.I.E.L.D. was already familiar with both technologies.
In fact, they had developed experimental equipment based on similar principles.
But the problem was that both approaches came with severe side effects and unsolved issues.
Ignoring the discussions behind him, Lucas was now completely focused on the body blueprint before him.
The passage of time in the outside world had become almost imperceptible.
His consciousness had descended beyond the cellular level.
If one could see inside Lucas's brain at this moment, they would witness his neurons and neural networks operating at extreme intensity.
Ordinary humans use less than ten percent of their brain's capacity.
Lucas, however, was currently utilizing more than fifty percent.
Normal humans could never endure such output—the energy consumption alone would be fatal.
Even with constant eating, the body would be unable to convert energy quickly enough.
As Lucas delved deeper, the demands on his brain continued to rise, along with the energy expenditure.
But he was not relying solely on his internal ki.
He had the Space Stone—an infinite energy source—and the support of the Eternal Flame.
Energy was not a concern.
All he needed to do was continue observing and recording deeper into the microscopic world.
At this point, even micrometer-scale cells appeared as mountains in Lucas's vision.
Their nuclei, mitochondria, and internal structures were vividly clear.
Yet Lucas pressed on.
Finally, he crossed into the nanometer scale.
He became the first human in history to reach the nanoworld using only his physical body.
Buzz—
Lucas felt his mind shudder violently, as though a new world had suddenly unfolded before him.
In the nanoscopic realm, even a cell nucleus appeared colossal, while even finer structures revealed themselves.
His brain was now operating far beyond normal limits.
The body-construction blueprint that had nearly stalled suddenly began accelerating once more.
Outside, JARVIS's voice echoed from Tony's armor.
"Sir, I must inform you that even with the combined computational power of two supercomputers, I am no longer capable of simulation."
"What?" Tony leaned back instinctively.
"What the hell is Lucas doing now?"
"He hasn't started observing at the particle level, has he?" Tony asked incredulously.
"That's impossible," Banner immediately refuted.
"Even instruments require extreme precision and complexity to observe subatomic particles. Lucas can't possibly reach that level with his physical body."
"Then how do you explain the level of detail in that constructed body?" Deadshot suddenly interjected.
"Well…" Banner hesitated, then replied,
"It's most likely nanometer-level reconstruction."
Tony nodded.
"Banner's right. Atomic structures are at the picometer scale—around 140 picometers per atom. Even nanometer-level observation is extraordinarily difficult."
In truth, Lucas could already perceive atomic structures.
They were blurry—so indistinct that he had to focus intensely just to glimpse their outlines.
But that was enough.
Lucas knew his limits.
Even with the Space Stone, picometer-scale observation was still beyond him—for now.
Yet if the scientists outside knew that he could observe the nanoworld with his naked body alone, they would be utterly dumbfounded.
After all, humanity's ability to observe atoms and particles relied entirely on advanced instruments—never direct perception.
And the nanoworld alone was more than sufficient for Lucas's purposes.
In this realm, cells towered like mountains.
Even the smallest micrometer-scale cells filled his field of vision.
What truly captivated Lucas, however, were the faint particle structures subtly visible within each cell.
Seeing them required absolute concentration.
Time passed—how long, he could not tell.
But in the outside world, three full hours had elapsed.
Behind Lucas, the luminous humanoid construct had now taken on Lois's full appearance.
If not for the unmistakable glow of energy, one might have believed she was truly alive.
Those watching had unconsciously slowed their breathing.
Witnessing a scene that resembled the creation of humanity itself, their eyes were filled with awe, fear, hope, and disbelief.
Then—
Lucas suddenly opened his eyes.
Intense blue-white light flooded his pupils, illuminating them completely.
