One thing about the Undead is they adapt and learn.
They have eyes and ears.
And those weren't for decoration.
They don't sleep
They don't die
They don't stop.
So how would one deal with them.
The Npc from Canada would have trapped them in Amber.
Meanwhile The Regressor from India would have used gold to restrict them.
Now what to do.
Between a Walking Well and an Unstoppable Force.
It would be one hell of a disaster.
Blood dripped down from Racine's nose, His vision a complete blur.
Stuck in a suffocating space with the only thing stopping a bunch of undead was a crazed maniac who's body was being torn and simultaneously restored.
A few days earlier..
The undead who had been chasing after them nonstop disapeared.
Cristina let out a sigh of relief and Racine felt absolutely terrible.
Its already a problem with those Undead within sight and for it to just suddenly disappeared makes him uncomfortable.
One day passed without any trouble like usual Alex approached Racine once more.
Like a dog wagging its tail.
'Did Cristina send him to ask information about me?' Racine thought to himself.
"I can't believe you play the same games as i do" Alex said with excitement.
"If you think about it my friend Jetstar said he was an awakener who got similiar ability as his in game character" Racine blurted out.
It did come across his mind that if the abilities people have when they awakened is mostly the same but he shrug it off since he met Carlyn.
It seems the ability corresponds to the awakeners nature and mastery itself.
"What do you usually play as?" Racine inquired and Alex with his youthful face replied.
"I usually play Berserker or Tank"
"Then your ability must be related to Defense"
Alex clap his hands together, "That's right"
'A Defense Type Awakener? Who somehow got himself so injured? With his two allies able to keep enemies away?'
"Actually" Alex scratch the back of his head, "Its a bit hard to awaken it. That's why my sister came looking for you"
"You might help me a lot" Alex then tried to held Racine's hand but Racine pulled away.
'Why are you acting like this is some kind of confession?' Racine thought to himself.
"Can you show me?" Racine mumbled, Like. Your skill?"
Alex scratched his face, "I'm not sure about that" Alex then stood up, "Its a bit embarassing how about I tell you more about it outside?"
'Am i gonna be killed?' Racine frowned ar Alex's suggestion but he can't exactly decline.
Racine like an idiot followed Alex along.
As they begun to walk farther and farther from the jeepney, Racine look back and took in the sight of Ellaine and Juan standing watch while Cristina and Bob slept.
"I don't think this is a good idea" Racine said to Alex.
Alex paused on his steps and spun around towards Racine, "It only took a moment"
"I'm suing you if we got in trouble"
Alex laughed.
...
Alex led Racine not exactly very far not near either.
The two of them stood next between the electrical box and the rooftops ventilation system.
Racine winced to the sight of Alex bending his left arm the wrong way.
It wasn't bend by flexibility no- Alex had snapped it with force.
"That's your ability?" Racine mumbled.
'That's lame' Racine added but only on his thoughts.
Soon Alex wrongly bent arm begun to smoke and snap back into place.
"I can do this" Alex cheerfully said.
'That's all?'
"That is.. fascinating" Racine stared at Alex's hands.
Alex proceed to snap his hand again once more, "I could do this over and over as long as i have mana" He said with a blush.
'He got loose screws' Racine took a cautious step back from Alex.
All the hair on Racine's body rose up, His instict kicking in and his body twisting to the side.
An undead hit its head to the ventilation shaft with a loud thud yet it didn't groan nor scream it just.
Moved its head towards Racine.
Racine gulped, Alex was clearly much more closer to the undead yet its eyes was focused on him.
"Racine" Alex mouthed to him his fingers pointing towards the Jeepney.
That's right they need to-
Racine turn his head towards their escape route only to see.
The Jeepney completely surrounded by a horde of undead who continuesly tear into the bougainvillea Vines that wrapped around it.
Racine didn't have any moment to think, He need to do something.
Anything.
Racine grabbed Alex towards the ventilation shaft.
Alex punched the ventilation shaft open only for the undead to tackle him from within it.
Racine used Alex who was being tackled and gnawed on as a step.
He jump on top of the ventilation shaft before holding out his hand towards Alex.
Alex was baffled at what just happened, His whole body that was now being clawed and tore by undead begun to smoke.
With his ability kicking in to his system, Alex felt the high like he could do everything.
Crushing the heads of the undead like bugs, Alex pushed his body upwards with a toothy grin towards the hand that was held out into him.
Racine pulled him upwards and the two of them ran on top of the ventilation shaft.
The undead shook it and multiple hands tried to grab into them.
It takes a lot of concentration not to trip on them and one annoying undead even managed to grab Racine's left shoe.
Alex grab a hold of Racine before he was completely dragged by it.
Racine with a click of his tounge untied his laces and give one harsh kick towards the undead sending it toppling down along with the shoe.
Alex pushed the few undead who managed to climb on top of the shaft but of course at the expense of his own flesh.
Racine grimaced at the sight of Alex's spurting shoulders after an undead took a chunk of it.
Then slowly starting from the nerves it restored itself again.
"How long can your ability last?" Racine questioned Alex as they make their way towards the Jeepney.
"Depens on the injury" Alex said with a blush on his face.
