Without waiting for Amabel to say a word, Marjorie found herself moving unconsciously towards the door. She was curious about the old lady's reaction. The last time she saw the other, it was brief and she didn't get to look as much as she wanted, but now, the chance was here.
She was looking forward to observing the woman who Amabel was taking as a mother-figure. With that in mind, she hurriedly went to open the door.
The moment she did, her breath caught in her throat. Why?
Because the lady looked much more graceful and elegant than she was that other time.
With a single look, she could tell that this lady wasn't simple at all. She just didn't understand the real reason why she was being this close towards her friend. However, there was nothing special about Amabel, at least, something that could make a woman of such caliber to get closer to her.
