Tillys POV
My mother made me lie on the bed. I shivered and I yelled a couple of times.
I prayed and cussed for the pain to stop. It didn't.
I didn't just lose my dragon, I lost everything— the man I love. Our future. I lost the little cottage in Emerald city with a husband who loves pottery and a one eyed dog named Bark.
I lost my respect. And hope. And the ability to believe in anything. To believe in anyone.
I never felt more alone in my entire life. And I was surrounded by people.
We stopped at the healer on our way and mother gave me some pain medication. It did nothing, only made my mouth bitter.
Then I stop screaming or wriggling or any other thing to express my pain.
I just lay on my bed and stared at nothing. The only sign that I was in pain was the sweat that tripped down and soaked my clothes.
"Tilly" My mother called out to me because of the sudden quietness. "Are you still breathing?"
"I am fine" I whispered. "I just want to sleep"
And I did....for days.
