Reginald was a great man when it came to understanding what the enemy thought of him while fighting against the enemy.
If not for the final battle in the Heavens Arena, he would be considered the strongest fighter in the whole Heavens Arena; it is not a small feat what he has done.
After one look at the man and some observing, he was able to read the thoughts of the man with no problem at all.
It is not that big of a deal for him.
"From what I see, he thinks that I want to use Mannequin to trigger that explosion of his."
"Then attack from an angle and use the cooldown for such an ability to kill him."
"Not bad, simple but okay," Reginald thought.
"That would be the idea of a nen user that thinks they are smart, but they are not."
Reginald thought.
"The plan is simple," he thought, and then he started working on a plan that would help him to kill this man and go to Lina's side.
"I wait for him to trigger the explosion."
"Then, I will make it look like I am attacking him, while I will be just feinting."
"When he notices that I attack, he will do something to kill me, which he believes that I would not think he is capable of doing."
"Then, I will dodge the attack using my mannequin again, which he doesn't know I can summon a second one in return for accepting not summoning any mannequin for one month of time."
"It was a harsh condition that I put up with, but now it will work in my favor."
"The attack will be blocked and taken by the second mannequin, and then I will kill him!"
Reginald made his plan.
Member 7 then started working on his actions.
He kept on dodging the white mannequin and watched Reginald with a side eye.
"Okay."
"I was right..." he thought.
"He is waiting for me to use my Ring of Acid to destroy this creature of his and then attack..."
"It is true that I need to wait for some time to keep using Ring of Acid..."
"But it does not mean that I cannot use the orb if I know when and where he will attack me."
Member 7 did not wait any longer; he dodged the punch of the mannequin, ducking to the left, and then shouted.
"Die!!"
With his shriek, a circular acidic aura blasted in a ten-meter radius.
Reginald moved and jumped.
The mannequin was almost destroyed by the whole attack.
"Hehehe."
"Just as I thought.
"Come to me," thought Member Seven.
As the distance between Member Seven and Reginald shortened to three meters, Member Seven quickly manifested a green acidic orb.
"You are not going to live from this..." he thought.
At the same time, something that he did not expect happened.
A different type of mannequin, humanoid in form, manifested in front of the orb.
"What!" Member Seven could not understand what is happening.
He never expected that the enemy was able to emit another mannequin in human form at all.
"Now..."
"What..."
The orb let go from his hands and hit the second mannequin, and then from behind the mannequin, Reginald moved left, his arm blades working as he took one more step forward and started slashing the member seven left and right.
In just two seconds, he slashed the man almost ten times.
The pieces of the body parts dropped on the ground.
Arms and legs falling down like broken towers and ears as well as the part of the head.
Reginald then jumped forward fifteen meters and then looked behind.
The body of the man was like minced meat and mutilated.
"Okay..."
The reason why he has jumped forward after he has done fatal damage is simple.
He thought that this man may have some sort of a suicide attack-like ability.
It would not be unexpected for cult organization members to have suicide and self-sacrificial abilities.
As Reginald thought of his, he could not help but think...
"Sacrifice."
"Cult."
"The leader is not around..." he muttered some words and then quickly started running while he texted Conrad at the same time.
"Something is wrong."
"Our group is cleared, but the leader never showed himself or the enforcers."
"Meet up at the designated point 2, Hut."
-
Conrad, who was still searching about the rooms to find the leader, looked at the message of Reginald and then nodded.
"It seems like you noticed it also..."
Conrad quickly moved to the said location; in less than one minute, Reginald and Conrad met.
"First of all, Adarte, Anisa, and others are safe; we have cleared three of their official members and around ten to fifteen quasi-members," said Reginald first.
Conrad nodded.
Reginald then started talking.
"After I dealt with the last enemy, I could not help but think about something."
"It was some sort of a suicide attack, like a thought."
"Then, it hit me: why did a cult organization with NEN not use any sacrificial abilities?"
"I would expect them to use 'sacrifices' and 'Nen collection via acts of evil...' to be commonplace."
Conrad nodded.
"You are talking about all of these battles."
"The enemies we killed are part of a nen ability."
Reginald then added.
"Yeah..."
"If not, I am sure you have cleared out your group too."
"Then, where are the leader and the enforcers?"
"Why have they not shown up but are waiting for their people to be murdered?"
Conrad added.
"They are not the calmest minds."
Reginald smiled.
"That is the point."
"They are waiting because waiting for their people to kill them makes it clear that they are going to survive this ordeal or even deal huge damage to us."
Conrad stopped for a moment and nodded.
"I can easily set up an ability that involves the matter and the principle behind it."
"A safe area, ten to fifteen nen users that are in my team, if killed by the enemies with the condition that I am not going to interfere."
"Use all their deaths to strike back at the enemy who killed them."
"More limitations can be added, like there will be no deserters from my team or not..."
"It is viable..."
Conrad then sent a message to all the team members."
"All of you fall back and leave the general perimeter of the manor."
"Meet up at the mountain-base hub-side courtyard in three minutes."
