Chapter 174 - Healing

Back in the city

Bonanus didn't go looking for Lumine. The protagonist was probably at the Knights of Favonius Headquarters, discussing important matters. There wasn't much she could do there anyway.

How did she know? Because she had played through this part of the story many times. In her previous life, she had created many accounts.

What was Lumine doing at the Knights' headquarters? Most likely discussing Dvalin's tears and receiving the title of "Honorary Knight" of Mondstadt.

After becoming an Honorary Knight, the cute little sister would start her journey as a tool. A high-quality worker like Lumine would make any capitalist weep tears of joy.

She returned to the inn where she had been staying.

Entering the room, Bonanus threw herself onto the soft bed. If not for the fact that someone else shared this room, she would have stripped off her clothes and slept soundly.

Speaking of which, it had been a long time since she had slept naked without any restrictions.

"Suddenly feeling like slacking off again..." Bonanus pulled the covers over herself and muttered. Her laziness was acting up again.

Just as she was about to settle in for a good nap, a familiar, irritating voice sounded softly in her ear.

"Yo, sleeping, beautiful?"

Hearing that voice, a vein bulged on Bonanus's forehead. Wasn't this guy supposed to be following the main storyline? Why was he bothering her?

"What do you want? Shouldn't you be looking for the hero who helped drive away Stormterror?" Bonanus sat up slowly, glaring at Venti.

"Huh? You mean the Traveler? Don't worry, I already found her. We even agreed to borrow the Holy Lyre from the cathedral tonight!" Venti said with an amused grin.

"You mean steal it." Bonanus shot him a look.

"Don't sweat the details." Venti shrugged casually.

Bonanus sighed helplessly, stood up, straightened her clothes, and pulled up a chair to sit down.

"Speaking of which, the Holy Lyre is yours in the first place. Why don't you just go get it yourself?"

"I'm just a humble bard. There's no way I could borrow it. I have to rely on the Traveler's help."

Venti picked up his lyre from the table. It was time for another treatment session.

"You really know how to have fun." Bonanus closed her eyes and fell silent.

Venti laughed, shook his head gently, and began playing his instrument softly.

The gentle melody slowly filled the room. The music was so beautiful that it was impossible not to get lost in it.

A cool breeze drifted in through the window, swirling around Bonanus, healing her internal injuries.

Bonanus loved this feeling. It was incredibly soothing. In that moment, she felt her entire mood shift.

She had to admit, Venti was a truly talented bard.

Time passed slowly...

The beautiful song came to an end. Venti set the lyre back on the table with a smile.

"All done. Your injuries are fully healed. You can return to Liyue now."

Huh? Bonanus was completely stunned. Hadn't this Anemo Archon said it would take a few more days to heal?

What was going on?

"Didn't you say it would take a few more days?" Bonanus's eyes were full of confusion. She felt like she had been tricked.

"Ehe. Actually, it could have been done a few days ago. I just wanted you to stay a little longer. The wind in Mondstadt is so sweet." Venti looked mischievous.

Hearing that, Bonanus clenched her fists. This Anemo Archon... why did he have to say that in such a playful tone and make that annoying face?

She gritted her teeth. If she weren't so outmatched by the Anemo Archon, she would have given him a nice, hard slap.

"Then why are you telling me now?" Bonanus took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.

"Well, the old man came asking. I might be able to fool you, but not him. What if he came here personally to take you back?" Venti stuck out his tongue.

"If you want to stay in Mondstadt a few more days, I don't mind."

"Forget it. I'm leaving now." Bonanus rolled her eyes at Venti, packed her things, and prepared to leave the inn.

Venti didn't try to stop her. She was always going to leave. He couldn't keep her, and he wouldn't try.

"By the way, thank you for your help." Bonanus finished packing, stood at the door, and turned back to Venti.

"It was the old man's request. Go on. Come visit when you have time." Venti's smile remained as he watched her leave, nodding slightly.

...

Leaving the inn

Bonanus carried her bag and headed toward Good Hunter. She wasn't going there to eat. She was going to say goodbye to some friends.

At this time of day, they were probably eating there. After finishing their missions, they would definitely be hungry.

At Good Hunter

"I have to say, Noelle's combat skills are impressively clean." Kaeya took a bite of his Mondstadt Grilled Fish. Too bad there was no wine to go with it.

"Thank you, Senior Kaeya." Noelle said, her face red. She felt like she was one step closer to becoming a true knight.

"Too bad I didn't get to see Noelle fight." Amber ate her Meat and Honey Roast, looking a little disappointed.

"Someone like Noelle will definitely become a full-fledged knight someday. How about we call her 'Rose Knight'?" Amber swallowed her roast and said happily.

"Hmm? That's a great name. The rose symbolizes keeping secrets." Kaeya rubbed his chin and nodded.

"Let's wait until I actually pass the exam." Noelle lowered her head slightly, blushing as she ate her Satisfying Salad.

Just as the three were chatting and laughing, Bonanus arrived and caught their attention. Kaeya and the others noticed her as well.

"Yo, you're here." Kaeya waved warmly.

"Sister, are you here to eat?" Noelle asked curiously.

"If you're eating, you should try the Meat and Honey Roast. It's delicious." Amber recommended.

Bonanus shook her head gently and walked up to them.

"I'm not here to eat. I came to say goodbye. I'm leaving Mondstadt."
