Chapter 208 - Chapter 208: Chloe Qin’s Opportunity

"So when does my next training plan start?"

Derek Su pulled the conversation back on track.

He felt he wasn't far from becoming a Techmaster. What he lacked was likely the stimulation of the Sodium Fiber-Ω Awakening Serum.

That meant he had to be fully prepared before the Panlong Mountain Circuit began.

"I think we can start right now." Zane's lips twitched.

He had originally planned that if Derek Su failed to catch all the ping-pong balls today, he would use that as an excuse to keep him occupied, then send Lingwind out to buy materials.

He could also use this kind of training in the future to divert Derek Su's attention while taking the opportunity to continue gathering intel at Zuanka Technology…

But now things had turned out differently.

Who would have thought Derek Su was such a monster!

In that case, there was no choice but to increase the intensity.

First marbles, then soybeans, maybe even sesame seeds?

There was no way he would actually trap Derek Su in a room with hundreds of flies just for training.

That would be way too much.

Derek Su had no objections to Zane's plan.

He immediately had Stella, Purple Lightning, and Imperial Scale bring over some glass marbles.

Marbles were far more difficult than ping-pong balls, and the difficulty scaled with the speed at which they were thrown.

He could still perceive those points of light, but in the newly formed mental world, the marbles moved much faster than the ping-pong balls.

The points of light contained within each marble had also increased from one to two, and at higher speeds, there could even be three or four.

That meant he had to "capture" more of those light points to slow the marbles down.

Derek Su treated this training like an interesting challenge, even temporarily forgetting about the trip to the resort island. Fortunately, the Mecha Girls in the club weren't in a rush. Absolute Shadow could rearrange everyone's schedule based on Derek Su's situation, while Zane took the opportunity to have Lingwind acquire the materials he needed.

Everyone had their own goals and plans.

Everything was in preparation for the Panlong Mountain Circuit.

Meanwhile,

an email arrived on Chloe Qin's phone.

...

The villa had been sold, and she had moved into a cheap apartment.

The place was extremely bare. There wasn't even a TV. The living room had only a sofa and a coffee table.

Chloe Qin curled up on the sofa, her eight mechanical arms each busy with their own task.

Recently, she had been "acquiring" clubs in a rather unconventional way.

She had only one requirement. The club had to have a driver qualified to compete on provincial-level tracks.

Naturally, her funds were nowhere near enough to buy such clubs outright. Forget multiple ones, even purchasing a single club would be difficult.

So she changed her approach.

Instead of buying, she borrowed. Or more accurately, she hired.

For anywhere from hundreds of thousands to several million, she would hire a driver from a club and swap out their Mecha Girl.

After the Panlong Mountain Circuit, the contract would be terminated. The driver would receive the payment, and Chloe Qin would achieve her objective.

There were quite a few drivers like this.

Every year, many drivers qualified for the Panlong Mountain Circuit after passing at least three rounds of advancement races. However, not everyone could make it into the top ten. Those who failed were considered eliminated, but they could still participate again the following year without needing to requalify.

This meant there were many drivers who had competed for over a decade, even decades, without ever placing in the top ten at the Panlong Mountain Circuit. These drivers still had the right to participate each year. They might be considered "hopeless cases" abandoned by their clubs, but one thing was certain. They were cheap.

Most clubs were willing to accept Chloe Qin's terms.

What she was really buying was the right to command a driver during the Panlong Mountain Circuit, without needing them to transfer to the BSC club.

Since these drivers had little hope of achieving any results anyway, earning some extra money was hardly a bad deal.

At that moment, Chloe Qin was sorting through contracts from various clubs when she noticed a new email in her personal inbox.

She frowned.

She normally used the club's email for external communication and had never shared her personal address.

At first, she assumed it was spam. But the moment she opened it, her expression turned serious.

The email was from the clinic that had modified her mechanical arms.

[Chloe Qin, thank you for your trust in Mecha Island Technology. As one of the few users equipped with a mechanical core, mechanical arms, and an AI system, we sincerely invite you to participate in our new product trial.]

[We will upgrade your mechanical core and integrate AI intelligent driving technology into it at no cost. You only need to visit us regularly to upload data.]

[If you are interested, you may reply to this email or call xxxxxx to arrange service. Trial location: Magic Sea Resort Island.]

Chloe Qin read through it again carefully. After confirming the sender was indeed the clinic's official account, she stroked her chin thoughtfully.

"Integrating AI driving technology? Interesting."

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

This might be a good opportunity.
