Chapter 243 - A Mistake

Odin looked at Medusa.

For the first time...

He truly realized the extent of the power he now possessed after awakening his dominion over the very heavens themselves.

He had become capable of wielding the power of the sky in ways he had never imagined possible.

His power was no longer limited to controlling lightning...

Or clouds...

Or the wind.

The heavens themselves now responded to his will.

He could suppress the powers of his enemies.

Heal his own wounds.

Continuously strengthen his body, making himself far more powerful than before.

And those were only a fraction of his newfound abilities.

What fascinated him even more...

Was that he still did not know the true limits of the power he had gained after reaching the peak of his potential.

He could not hide his curiosity.

He deeply wished to know how much power his brothers had gained after reaching the limits of their own potential, just as he had.

As for Medusa...

She looked at Odin, who seemed genuinely pleased with the strength he had acquired after effortlessly repelling all of her attacks.

Her anger only burned even hotter.

She quickly regenerated her injured arm.

Then charged at him once again with savage ferocity.

She attacked without pause, pouring all of her strength into breaking his dominion over the heavens.

At the same time...

She continued mocking him.

She wanted to know...

Could he truly maintain control over such power forever?

Or would it eventually exhaust him as the battle dragged on?

But...

There was something Medusa did not know.

She had no idea...

That after reaching the peak of his potential, Odin had gained absolute dominion over the heavens themselves.

He no longer feared unleashing his full power.

He no longer worried that fighting at his utmost strength in a prolonged battle would exhaust him.

For now...

He had become...

The Ruler of the Heavens themselves.

Far away from Medusa, who had now descended into a terrifying frenzy...

On Treasure Island...

The Fallen Angel, who had been guarding the island, sensed the tremendous clash between his king and the Archangel.

He raised his head toward the sky.

He immediately realized...

That the Great War had truly begun.

Without hesitation...

He abandoned his duty of protecting the island.

Then soared toward the battlefield at tremendous speed, intending to join the war and aid his king against the Archangel.

While flying...

He sensed Medusa's immense power.

He realized she was fighting someone not far from his current location.

He paused for a brief moment to think.

Then shook his head and said to himself,

"No... there's no need to worry."

He continued flying as he thought,

"Medusa is powerful enough. She'll finish her battle soon enough and then join us on the battlefield against the angels. There's no reason for me to go and help her."

And so...

The Fallen Angel continued on his course without changing direction.

But he had no idea...

That in that very moment, he had made a fatal mistake.

Leaving Treasure Island...

And choosing not to assist Medusa...

Would become one of the greatest mistakes he would make during that war.
