Chapter 242 - A Fierce Battle

Odin looked at Medusa.

Then he shifted his gaze to his winged steed.

Using his spiritual power, he ordered it to leave the battlefield and not return until he summoned it.

The moment the command was given...

The steed vanished from its place.

It shot across the sky like a blazing meteor, leaving the battlefield behind and leaving Odin to face Medusa alone.

After that...

Odin raised his head and looked at Medusa coldly.

Then he said,

"Defend yourself against this."

The moment those words left his lips...

He unleashed his power.

In less than a second...

Thousands of icy spears condensed in the sky.

Each spear was as large as an entire ship.

Then they all shot toward Medusa at once, as though the heavens themselves were raining down an ocean of spears.

But...

Medusa merely looked at them with complete indifference.

She did not move an inch.

Instead, she simply activated her power and gazed at the incoming spears.

The next instant...

Every single ice spear turned into solid stone.

Then they shattered in midair.

Fragments of stone rained peacefully into the ocean, like a shower of rocks.

Odin stared into Medusa's eyes.

For the first time...

He truly sensed the terrifying danger hidden within them.

At that moment...

He realized just how dreadful the curse carried by her gaze truly was.

Therefore...

He decided to end the battle as quickly as possible.

He called upon the power that had awakened within him after reaching the very limits of his potential through years of isolation and relentless training.

He used that power...

To command the very sky itself.

He no longer controlled only lightning.

Nor merely the clouds.

Nor the winds.

He controlled the heavens themselves.

The power of the sky pressed down upon Medusa, weakening her little by little, restraining her movements, and shielding Odin from the curse of her eyes.

Medusa looked at Odin.

She saw a strange blue aura radiating from his body.

It was pure and crystal clear...

Like a cloudless blue sky.

Suddenly...

She felt the pressure the heavens had been placing upon her increase severalfold.

Her body grew sluggish.

She experienced a weakness unlike anything she had ever known.

Rage blazed within her eyes.

She raised her colossal hand, intending to seize Odin, teach him a lesson, and put an end to the strange force suppressing her.

As for Odin...

He remained standing calmly within the aura of the heavens.

Then he slowly raised his hand.

Suddenly...

The blue aura surrounding him transformed into a terrifying bolt of lightning whose overwhelming presence seemed capable of shaking space itself.

He compressed it even further within his hand...

Until it took the form of an enormous spear of lightning.

Without the slightest hesitation...

He hurled the lightning spear at Medusa's gigantic hand.

The spear struck directly.

Then exploded with devastating force.

Medusa groaned in agony.

But...

Instead of retreating...

Her fury only intensified.

She raised her other hand.

Suddenly...

It transformed into dozens of gigantic serpents that all lunged toward Odin.

At the same time...

The hand struck by the lightning spear transformed into a colossal whip and lashed toward him with terrifying speed.

She did not stop there.

She unleashed the full power of her curse, attempting to turn Odin into stone through the gaze of her eyes.

Odin looked at every one of those attacks.

He understood the true danger they carried.

Yet he did not retreat.

Instead...

He calmly raised his hand.

Suddenly...

The storm-covered sky changed.

High above...

A gigantic, terrifying eye formed among the clouds.

It was as vast as several islands, as though the heavens themselves had opened an eye to gaze upon the world.

The moment that eye appeared...

An overwhelming heavenly pressure burst forth.

It swept across the entire battlefield.

Medusa's curse was erased before it could ever reach Odin.

The very next instant...

The eye unleashed a devastating bolt of lightning that descended from the heavens and struck the hand that had transformed into the colossal whip.

At the same time...

Countless blades of razor-sharp wind erupted from every direction.

They descended upon the other hand that had become a mass of serpents.

Within moments...

The serpents were torn to pieces before they could ever reach Odin.

And there stood Odin...

In the very heart of the heavens.

Surrounded by the blue aura of the sky.

The winds, the lightning, the clouds, the rain, the snow, and the raging storms all fought alongside him...

As though the heavens themselves had become his weapon.
