Chapter 411 - [412] : Dragon's Breath

Silas woke from the vivid nightmare, his head splitting with pain and his mind in turmoil.

Fear and despair still clung to him, their effects spilling over into his real body.

Clearly, he had been manipulated, trapped in a dream woven by his opponent.

Looking back, the dream had been riddled with inconsistencies and unnatural twists.

Barros had meticulously drawn out the deepest fears in Silas's heart, shaping them into a nightmare so vivid it felt real.

Is this the ability of a Sequence 3 in the Psychology pathway?

At what moment did I enter the dream?

Silas took a deep breath and looked toward the battlefield again.

White flames generated by spirituality burned on the golden sea surface.

On the opposite ship, the King of the Black Throne still sat leisurely in his wheelchair, hand supporting his chin.

He looked toward Silas curiously, seemingly surprised that he could break through his dream.

Watch out, he might come again!

Silas remained alert, unhesitatingly summoning the sea tide to protect his spirit while lowering his head, avoiding eye contact with that figure.

Both giant ships had sustained damage.

Many pirate corpses lay on the Dawn's deck, but more pirates, led by Beyonders among them, had already wiped out all the toy soldiers.

"Awooo!"

The leading Beyonder had pale, rotting skin and wanton malice in his eyes.

He looked greedily and madly toward the beautiful Mysterious Queen, roaring wildly. Then he charged at her.

"Thud, thud, thud!"

His footsteps were extremely heavy. The ground he passed immediately frosted over with ice, the cold air oppressive.

A Sequence 6 Zombie.

Besides this audacious one, the other pirates scattered in all directions, attempting to break into the cabins below the Dawn, searching for the thing the "King of the Black Throne" had mentioned.

Got to stop them!

Silas thought, about to make his move when Bernadette stepped in front of him first.

She brought her hand to her lips, making a gripping gesture.

Soon, an ancient, dark-colored horn manifested from her palm. The horn looked incredibly heavy, full of a sense of power.

It was the horn that brings destruction!

The horn's opening faced the invading pirates.

"Woo—"

A deep sound emerged from the horn, echoing in layers across the deck.

"Bang!"

Although not directly facing the sound wave, as a "Listener" with keen hearing, Silas's eardrums immediately suffered.

Blood spurted from both his ears simultaneously. Enduring the severe pain deep in his ears, he looked past the Queen's shoulder.

Sound waves overlapped and spread outward. All the charging pirates immediately stopped in place.

Their bodies burst open with cracks and actually disintegrated into dust!

What a terrifying attack!

Silas marveled inwardly.

After destroying the pirates, Bernadette didn't stop but moved the horn, aiming it at the King of the Black Throne on the other giant ship.

She was going to sound destruction for Barros!

"Creak..."

At that moment, on the opposite giant ship, that dragon-headed main cannon had turned its head completely toward them.

The cannon's surface was covered with gray-white scales. The dragon head was lifelike, spirituality abundant, light dazzling.

It had accumulated powerful energy and, like a living thing, slowly opened its mouth toward the Dawn.

Nearly transparent radiance brewed in its mouth!

"Behind me!"

Bernadette's eyes sharpened as she shouted without explanation.

"Woo—"

As Silas flashed behind her, she blew the horn.

"Roar—"

The giant dragon simultaneously let out a roar that shook the sea surface. It finally spewed forth the transparent thing in its mouth!

Dragon's breath!

"Boom!"

The overlapping sound waves and the dragon's breath collided.

The powerful energy produced an intense impact. Seawater surged violently, and both giant ships shook fiercely!

Silas felt his vision filled with surging energy.

The destructive sound wave acted like a shield, blocking the frontal dragon's breath, but the aftershock of the collision still caused this sea area to tremble!

He felt his consciousness shaking, as if this breath also contained damage to the spirit.

"Splash."

The unbearable several seconds ended. Water vapor rose, wood chips flew, and the residual energy of the dragon's breath dispersed in the air.

The Dawn's forward deck was already damaged, as if a giant had savagely bitten off a layer with its mouth.

On the opposite side, Barros's flagship also seemed to have sustained some damage. He smiled meaningfully at them through the water mist.

Then in the next moment, something strange happened.

All the invisible servants around the Queen suddenly betrayed her at once!

"Bang!"

Some picked up rifles from the ground and aimed at the Queen. Others devoured the characteristics of the dead and became strange existences.

The largest among them directly tore open its abdomen, exposing the Queen's treasury to the air.

The dragon's residual breath had merged with them!

Controlling these servants was Barros's true purpose in firing the cannon!

These servants belonged to the Queen and were much more formidable than the pirates.

Silas watched helplessly as several of them directly floated downward, passing through the deck into the ship's cabin.

"Stop!"

The Queen's expression changed dramatically as she shouted.

Since the battle began, she had always maintained calm, but at this moment, she showed an uneasy expression.

Her figure rapidly became illusory, as if wanting to penetrate the deck and enter the cabin to stop these servants.

However, at this moment, one of the servants remaining on deck underwent a change in state.

It twisted and deformed, its color deepening, and finally actually transformed into the appearance of the "King of the Black Throne."

"Sorry, Queen, I can't let you leave so easily."

Barros sat in his wheelchair, smiling.

Fine, dense scales instantly grew on his face, and invisible pressure spread instantly.

"Before I find that thing, I'm afraid I'll have to trouble you to stay on deck."

"Swoosh!"

All the servants moved at the same moment, launching an attack on the Queen.

Caught off guard, the Queen could only engage in combat!

"Help me with something."

While dealing with the surging servants, she turned to Silas and said, "Stop the ones that entered the cabin!"

"Okay!"

Silas agreed without hesitation.

Not only because he wanted to help the Queen, but also because Luna was still in the cabin.

"Boom!"

He transformed into a fireball and flew rapidly toward the cabin door.

Several servants tried to intercept him, but he easily shook them off.

Barros looked at him, attempting to plant influence on the mental level, but the illusory sound of the sea tide constantly echoed in Silas's mind, easily blocking those influences outside.

"Hmm?"

The King of the Black Throne showed a trace of surprise as he watched Silas rush into the cabin.

Silas entered the cabin, flying without pause.

His peripheral vision caught the tail of invisible servants and discovered they had infiltrated toward a lower level of the cabin.

"Hah—"

Suddenly, he heard Luna's hissing sound.
