Getting up from my desk I got ready to go and train.
I went and first dropped off the books I borrowed and headed to one of the training grounds in the village.
For now I have nothing to hide from the ninjas in the village. I doubt that they don't have ninjas stationed here watching people train, especially Danzo. I definitely don't want to draw his attention early on, who knows what he might do.
After arriving at the training grounds I set down some things that I brought from home.
Since my mother is a ninja she had some practice items just laying around the house so I used them for my purposes.
Setting the items down I look at what I brought - There are six wooden practice shurikens along with kunai, there is also a wooden katana which was a good find.
Firstly, I will see where I am at in terms of proficiency with all of these tools. If I can get a good picture of how skilled I am, I will be able to make a training plan catered to that skill level. Most of that knowledge will be from the books I read.
I walk to where the practice range is on this training ground. There are six wooden targets all lined up side by side.
I stood around 20 feet away from the range, picked up one shuriken, pulled back my arm, and threw it at the target…
It didn't even reach the target. It lost power about 5 feet away from the target.
"Dang.. I'm that weak. These things don't even weigh a pound, it's definitely less than a pound."
I don't lose hope just yet and pick up another Shuriken. Going through the same process, I pulled my arm back but threw with even more force.
This time it made it to the target but instead of hitting anywhere on the target it hit the post holding the target up.
"At least I didn't completely miss.. How in the hell did Itachi do this so easily as a kid? I guess I do have all the might of what a five year old with no training has. Now that I mention I do remember Rika saying something about starting my training when I enter the academy a year from now. During this year I have to get ahead and become stronger, anything can happen and I need to be ready."
Picking the next Shuriken I keep on practicing with all my effort. After around an hour and a half I finally managed to throw a shuriken and stick it on the board.
I plop down on the ground completely exhausted from throwing those Shuriken for so long. Although tired I was proud of myself.
"I never really did any type of physical activity seriously when I was back on earth, the most I ever did was hardly participate in gym class and that was mostly stretching and walking. I have a new found respect for people who do this for a living…"
I know that this will be my life from here on out so I try to get used to this new discomfort as much as possible.
Now that I was able to land a Shuriken on the board, let's try throwing these kunai as well.
This time around it took less time to be able to stick one on the board since it was pretty much the same concept as the shuriken so it only took around twenty minutes to stick one on.
"Huff, Huff.."
"This child's lung capacity is shit. Has he also never done serious physical activity? Maybe I'm being a bit harsh. I am only five. I just really hope this gets easier.."
After saying that I look over to the practice katana I brought..
"Now or never I suppose."
I picked up the wooden katana.
It's decently heavy, and definitely too big for my body. Still, I grip the katana firmly.
I think back to the Kenjutsu book I read and the forms that I saw illustrated.
I take one of those forms, the most basic one, the one that a swordsman can use until they day.
I put my right foot forward and my left foot braced behind it. I then let the blade rest low across my body in front of me with my right and left hand on the handle of the katana with my right above my left. This is the most universal form of using the katana, it is definitely the most used because of its versatility. The main aspect of this form is making sure your hands are lose but gripping the sword firmly, this is too quickly react to any type of attack or to quickly attack yourself. A balance of attack and defense, the perfect combination.
For some inexplicable reason all the myriad thoughts in my mind ceased and all that existed for a moment was me and this katana, in my eyes shined a cold light. Suddenly I felt the need to swing this katana.
I raised the katana over my head and slashed down with all my might.
As the weapon came crashing down I heard the wind being displaced by the sudden movement. Subsequently I also felt my feet slip from under me due to the weight of the sword and how fast I swung it down.
I completely face planted on the ground and I even lost my breath.
I sat there trying to catch my breath, an extremely humbling experience.
After catching my breath and calming down I thought about how I felt while I held that katana and swung it.
For some reason it felt so right. The weight of the sword felt just right, and when I raised it in the air I felt like I could slash the world into two perfect pieces.
I think I chose the right form of combat to go down.
After that I practiced some more swings without falling down this time. It was a bit difficult to get the hang of it with the weight but I was able to grasp it in a short time.
I kept on swinging for minutes and minutes. At least that's what it felt like. When I regained my senses I realized it was pitch black outside and my entire body was shaking from what could only be overexertion. I dropped the katana and dropped to my knees attempting to catch my breath, my lungs felt as if they were on fire.
"Wha- What, huff huff, was that?"
Why was I able to enter a state of complete focus like that? I've never experienced something like that in my entire life, even on earth.
I look at my shaking hands, they are even bloody from the blisters that were made from possibly hundreds if not thousands of repetitions.
"It only felt like thirty minutes had passed.. Maybe I'm meant for the sword for some reason. Does it have to do with my transmigration? Or perhaps I already had this talent but never was able to explore it on earth due to my environment and situation? I doubt even if I was on earth my talent would let me do something like what I just did, maybe it's exacerbated due to chakra?"
Thoughts rushed through my mind trying to figure out what this could possibly be.
"I suppose only time can tell. I will go home and make a true training regiment, maybe I can ask my mother for help as well."
I packed up my things and headed home with shaky legs.

…
In the trees above the training ground stood a lone figure.
He had a grey sleeveless battle uniform on with a katana on his back…
And a fox mask on his face with white spiky hair sticking out.
Suddenly the figure vanished from the spot in a blur.

In the Hokage's office.
Hiruzen Sarutobi sat in the chair of the Hokage while doing dreadful paper work.
Suddenly his head twitched slightly as if he noticed something he then spoke in a neutral tone.
"Come in."
Suddenly a figure appeared in the office in front of Hiruzen, he bowed his head on one knee.
"Report." Said Hiruzen.
"Sir Hokage, I happened to be in one of the training grounds and I came across an interesting sight. There was a boy there, no older than 6 years old practicing with a wooden katana."
Hiruzen raised his eyebrow and interjected "That's good that the youth is taking initiative to train, it means that the will of fire is burning ever brighter especially after that disaster a year ago. But Dog, why report this?"
There was a pause in Dog's words as he spoke out once again "The reason why I felt the need to report this is because the boy was in a complete sword trance."
Hiruzen's eyebrows shot up and then scrunched "Are you sure, Dog? If what you are saying is true then we may have a future sword master in our sights." Hiruzen said calmly.
Dog nodded his head and said "I'm sure, I saw his eyes were completely glazed over. When I arrived there he was already swinging his sword, it was around nine in the evening at that point, it's two in the morning now and he's just headed home."
Hiruzen nodded his head slowly taking in this information. "Okay Dog, I want you to observe him and keep him safe. Especially from Danzo, if he finds out we have a child in the village who can already enter a complete sword trance then he will expend no effort in trying to indoctrinate him into root. Do not speak of this too anyone. Dog, you understand the importance of this, correct?"
Dog nodded his head "As you wish Sir Hokage."
"Good. Dismissed." Hiruzen said
Suddenly the man disappeared from the spot in a blur.
Hiruzen leaned back in his chair after some time and said under his breath…
"We may have another Kage level combatant in the future of this village, I can begin to rest easy, the village will be in great hands even when I'm dead in the ground…"
