"Hey, Kaija Sepala, wake up."
The photography studio lay submerged in darkness, illuminated only by the faint silver glow filtering through the window. Not a single light had been switched on. If there had been, it would have announced to anyone passing by that two people were hiding inside.
Kaija lay motionless on the couch beneath the window. Her long black coat had been draped over her like a blanket, accompanied by a second layer of warmth in the form of a black leather jacket.
Standing nearby, leaning against the wall beside the window, was the owner of that jacket.
Juho stared down at her unconscious form and released a tired sigh.
He had only blocked her airway long enough to stop her from screaming. At least, that had been the intention. How on earth had she managed to stay unconscious for two entire hours?
While Kaija had been out cold, he had locked the studio door and gone to finish the rest of his deliveries for the night.
