Despite her striking appearance, Dani's taste in boba tea was the most basic Kaija had ever encountered.
The woman wanted nothing more than a regular milk tea with traditional pearls.
No cheese foam.
No pudding.
No grass jelly.
No extra toppings of any kind.
It was the complete opposite of Kaija's order, where the toppings often seemed to outnumber the tea itself.
"I still can't believe Instructor actually bought us breakfast," Kaija muttered around her straw, taking another sip as she tried to process the entire morning. "And not just that. Those were probably the best sandwiches I've ever eaten."
"Speaking of unbelievable things..." Dani shook her head, still looking mildly traumatized by the experience. "Do you realize that's the first time Antony has ever bought me food? Ever. And I've known him for years."
She jabbed her straw accusingly through the air.
"He even let us eat inside the studio."
Kaija blinked.
"Is that weird?"
