Marv was taken by the nurse to the sanatorium along with the other students who felt sick.
Rest of all the well students were led to their Dormantories. Questions crossed their minds. Most were feeling a bit sick and the older students were trying to calm the tension.
The red guard in the robes was the one who led all the students safely here.
It was still hovering over the dormitory; Guarding it.
The weather was getting darker and cloudier. Blue haze spread through the window in the hall where the golden light lit it up in an old-fashioned way.
Most of the students sat in that hall. Some on sofas while others preferred to sit on the golden-teal carpates that spread through the hall room or perhaps nore likely the living room.
"Are you alright, Parmiss?" Shinigami asked, holding a glass of water; offering it to Parmiss.
Parmiss slowly took the glass of water from Shinigami and took a sip of it, "I am fine… Thank you, Shinigami."
Pat! Pat!
She patted Parmiss gently, "That's my girl."
Parmiss: "Cut it out. This isn't a time for things like this."
Shinigami smiled softly, "We will make it out of here just like we have done in the past."
Parmiss took a deep breath, and then nodded as she exhaled.
"Can I join you both?" Eurika came walking towards them.
Shinigami's gaze sharpened at Eurika, for some reason she seems not to trust her.
"Make yourself comfortable with us, Eurika." Parmiss replied softly.
Eurika's face lit up, "Thank you☆(^///^)"
As she lifted the back of her skirt and sat on the chair next to the sofa where Parmiss and Shinigami sat.
Even now she had an innocent smile on her face.
Shinigami took a silent breath, but didn't speak.
"It's no time to be sad, you both." Eurika spoke, "Girls here loved Cora but we can't change what happened, can we?"
Shinigami and Parmiss both looked at her as she continued,
"Cora never really wanted anyone to be sad. She used to help us all. And for a secret," She leaned closer with a whisper and a half smile, "She even helped me cheat once in the exam after I couldn't prepare for it due to my performance that week."
Parmiss nodded, "It's not like I am sad because I want to." She took a breath, "I don't even know if I am sad or not. I have known her for less than a day. And… if she was a kind girl— she didn't deserve to die this way."
Eurika rose her index finger to her chin, "Hm, perhaps you should talk to the others while we are here. It might help you understand her better and others to feel better?"
"I don't know what I can say?" She lifted her open hands in a "I got nothing" gesture.
Eurika grabbed Parmiss's hand and stood up. Shinigami's eyes again sharpened.
Eurika pulled Parmiss, taking her to the restof the girls, "Com'on you should be more social.
…
In the teal moonlight passing through the glass in the hallway that led to the dormantories laid a dead body of a girl who's face was smiling this morning.
"Any clues, Yohan?" A tall man wearing something that represented a tuxedo with an unusually cheap design on it asked a young man who was inspecting the scene.
'Yohan Moretti' worked for the detective department with his exceptional skills while being at the young age of 19 years old.
Yohan's eyes were glowing green as he was inspecting the scene, but as he looked up at the man who questioned him, the glow faded.
Yohan's blonde hair had a dark shade to it as he spoke, "Oh, hey Edward. This is more of the unusual cases here. It's hard to tell as this is one of the more crowded areas. But have a look at this."
He pointed at the abdominal area of the corpses body, "It's like she was ripped by something big and heavy."
'Furileous Edward' the chief investigator of this case for now atleast replied,"hm, I don't remember anything of that caliber in the normal levels of this castle."
Yohan nodded and the pointed to the blood of the corpse, "You are right, But come here and look closely, there is water under the blood."
Edward moved forward, the heel of his shoes created an echo in the hallway,
"I see, but that doesn't mean it's the culprit, is it? But Why didn't it mix up?"
Yohan lifted up his finger, "Yes, Edward, any one can be carrying water. But not just anyone has access to this specific water."
Edward's gaze moved to Yohan, "What makes you think that?"
Yohan crossed his arms, "Normal water mixes up with the blood, but not this specific dense poisonous water. This is the water from the primordial dark sea or something of that caliber."
Edward was at a lose of thoughts, "How could someone has access to it? I thought it was forbidden. Is this a conspiracy?"
Yohan: "That could be a possibility but why would they go as far as to shred the body apart?" he took a breath, "Also, I tried to trace it back but It's like it just came out— from inside the walls..."
Edward's eyes widened, "What do you mean to imply?"
Yohan lifted up his hands empty, "I feel clueless too. Anything forbidden like that can't just enter this school with no means. I suppose... there are things we can never know for sure."
"Sir!" A lady wearing a beautiful Victorian uniform came with her one hand holding her other in a cute manner.
"Don't you see I am busy here, Emilia?" Edward snapped.
Emilia bowed slightly, "Endella is here. They would like to have a meeting with the school and the staff."
Edward's face turned into that of an annoyed person, "Eh, Endella… Who told them about all this!?"
"You know this is a murder case, Master Edward. We can't possibly hide it." Yohan implied.
Edward simply adjusted his gloves and stood up,
"I know. I will deal with them."
Saying this he stood up and left. Yohan followed behind him while Emilia stayed there.
…
In the school council, the principal and other staff members were sitting at a long table.
Their faces were all serious; half revealed by the teal crimson light.
"Hm, I heard this place is quite secure. Don't you agree?"
A boy of a young age between 22 and 26 years old sat on the left row seat.
"X Aurelio", One of the Endella's Harbinger. He wore a long custom designed coat, hands covered with half-palm leather gloves and his face had a playful smile.
"We are still investigating the case. We won't let any more harm reach students." Professor Greadrock spoke, his lines were sharp but face wasn't certain.
He was met with X Aurelio's silence.
El Gollem then spoke tryingto make the matters in control, "For a hundred years something like this hasn't ever taken place in this school. Whoever did it will face severe judgment."
The goblin's face was getting red. His height was short and his face was old.
There was tension at the desk. Klein Ainsworth had a silver glass in his hand with a low amount of water in it. He was rotating the glass in his hands, observing the tension with a wicked face.
X Aurelio finallyreleasedhis breathand spoke up, "I see. So you are just going to ignore the fact that a girl was brutally murdered now?"
He raised his head, "Instead you are saying this didn't happen in the past. Well it happened now. So why did it happen?"
His hands were swinging in a dramatic way. His expression was calm and positive.
The staff's faces were uncertain.
El Gollem taken by this replied, "We aren't ignoring that. We just need some clues and leads to the culprit. The investigation staff will be arriving here soon."
X Aurelio's face was filled with an odd calm, "Well then."
Knock! Knock!
Ainsworth's face turned into a soft smirk, "Speak of the devil."
His voice wasn't childish, it was serious. His gaze was sharp and calculating.
Creak!
The door opened and Edward arrived,
"I see, the meeting has started without me." He spoke with a confident manner.
In front of him was the gaze of the ever so serious headmaster who sat quietly observing everything in the room.
Esabell Ramila the female teacher in clothes that represented that of a spirit medium liftedher hand, "Greetings, Come join us, Edward."
She had soft curly hair and was quite young looking.
Edward's face turned serious, "Humph. I know very well of my place in this school."
His voice was arrogant. Like he couldn't care less about her. He walked and sat on the right row, beside Ainsworth and in front of X Aurelio.
X Aurelio put his hands forward, "So you are the head of this investigation, Mister Furileous Edward was it?"
"Eh—" As Edward was about to speak he was cut off by X Aurelio,
"Let's cut the formal introduction and get straight to the point. Did you find any clues for this case?"
Edward appeared to be annoyed by this question, "Everything is in the report. We also have some suspects. It will all be solved soon my Goddess's aid."
X Aurelio took a breath, "In that case I will leave it up to the school for now. But Endella might have to take control over this school if anything is distributed further more." He then lowered his voice a little, "Especially you know what. Don't ignore what's lurking under this school. Even if you haven't seen it."
As he then stood up and bowed slightly.
He took a last glance at the principal whose body hid in the shadows.
Everyone took a breath as the Harbinger left.
Ainsworth's face shifted to the principal, "So what will we do, Headmaster?"
The Headmaster who observed everything in the shadows finally spoke up, his voice was cold,
"Give the students a break while we deal with this matter. Also contact the victim's parents or guardians if the it had any." He then looked at Edward, "This case should be solved fast. I give it to you Edward. Don't disappoint me."
Edward nodded with his serious face.
...
Outside the room X Aurelio, met with Yohan, "So you are that new exceptional Mask user?" He asked.
"I believe that, Sir. Goddess has blessed me with its sight." Yohan replied with a faint smile.
"Keep it up." X Aurelio patted his shoulder, "And I do hope you catch your mom's skills soon. She was a good soul with great talent."
"You know my mother?" Yohan asked.
"Hah, Endella knows everyone." He then patted up Yohan one last time on the shoulder and left with the guards that were waiting for him there.
