In the world of Magic, one can't trust anyone, as there are always things one hasn't discovered yet.
Parmiss's eyes opened to discover herself in a distorted world.
The teal gray clouds appeared like the morning sky from above that was to be covered by clouds, but from the bottom it appeared to be a blue sea of foggy souls.
The souls reaching their hands from the bottom like to devour her; But they were only a mist.
Parmiss's eyes soon landed on the silhouette of a long table at the front, where an elegant wooden chair awaited her.
What is this place? She whispered.
As she walked towards the table, she noticed the slight stars-like spark inside the fog, that looked to form various constellations.
First of the constellations was like a woman holding a star in her hand. Her hair was long; hands decorated with scholar-like accessories. She glowed in a green haze, different from the rest.
Second was a woman in robes who had a clock behind her. Her hand was positioned like it were to fire an arrow and on her head was a crown of numbers. She glowed in a yellowish-golden haze.
Third was a man wearing a magician's hat. His hands were spreading outwards as if presenting something and beside him were stars, a rabbit, a key and a tea cup. He emitted in a dark-blue— almost purple haze.
The colour of the fog seemed to change slightly with every step she took, taking a more darker or lighter charm in a while after each step.
Fourth was a man or "maybe" a woman who was wearing the suit similar to that of a jester and a clown. It was more strange as one couldn't tell if he/she was crying from laughter or laughing from crying. He/She emitted in a red haze while his suit was coloured in "Red", "Yellow" and "blue" unlike the rest who had one primary colour to them.
The vivid colours made Parmiss's heart fluster.
Fifth was woman looking up at the sky. Her eyes were filled with peace, like she had let go of everything and embraced peace. Her hands were opened wide and her face was bright. She emitted in a light-blue haze.
Sixth was a man with long hair and a fire behind him in a circular angle. He hand big muscles and appeared to be very strong and brave. He glowed in an orange haze that looked like fire.
And at last was the Seventh, A skeletonish-woman in a robe and behind her were arrows and dagger like symbols in a circular angle. She emitted in a purple haze.
Parmiss felt a strange sort of familiarity to thus place, as if she has been here before.
As she stepped near the chair,
Woosh~
The cloud of smoke was absorbed by an undefined force right behind her.
The room she found herself standing in was more of a library. Books were floating in the air and the shelves appeared to be going up in an endless spiral ending with a dome ceiling at the top.
There were golden threads making all kind of different shapes, Like that of a rabbit, rose and strange masks.
In front of her was a long chair with a dark silhouette of a man sitting on the opposite side.
It all appeared to be a council room.
"Welcome to my domain." The man calmly spoke up. His voice was like that of a mythical being.
In front of him at the table was a marble tea cup with golden designing on it and a kettle sharing the same design.
"This place feels familiar. " Parmiss commented. She looked here and there at this strange dreamy place.
"I suppose, we have met before somewhere you wouldn't remember by now. Make yourself comfortable." The man extended his hands in a quite frank but dominant manner.
Hm, He does look familiar. He whispered.
The seat slid up on its own for Parmiss. She hesitated for a moment but after a long breath she sat on it.
The man in particular has no colours. It was as if only a silhouette was sitting there in clothes, with no face nor body just like a shadow.
Beside the man were other empty seats in a circular angle. It felt like a cult in a gut-sense.
In front of Parmiss was a tea cup similar to that of the man's but with a different design.
Actually, all the cups had different patterns on them and all the seats had a different setup to them.
"Would you like some tea?" The man calmly asked.
Parmiss nodded, "Yes. I suppose."
The kettle in front of the man was lifted up by a shadow of a maid who appeared out of nowhere in particular. It came to Parmiss's chair and poured tea into the cup that rested at her table.
"Ah, the Smell of Jasmine tea is a lovely as always. It's good for your heart, Parmiss." The man spoke, waving his hands in his own melody.
Parmiss smelled the sweet scent of the Jasmine tea. The aroma filled her lungs like blessing.
She then looked up at the man and asked, "You know my name?"
The man upon hearing it changed his whole stance and crossed his fingers.
"Have you heard what's happening inside Maskveil," Even though she couldn't see it, it was obvious that the man before her had a smirk on his face, "Maybe something related to your experience?"
Parmiss took a breath and answered calmly, "Even if it does, why should I tell you?"
The smirk on the man's face disappeared but turned into an amused smile, "Then let me ask you this one question. Would you like to live in a world without any soul?"
Hearing this, Parmiss froze for a second, "What do you mean?"
"Something's insidethis school, somethingfar more terrifying then death lurks behind the walls of this place, waiting for the opportunity to strike. " The man calmly lifted up his hand, "Are you going to sit there or would you changethe tides?"
From his hand and above him a golden light rapidly glitched.
It was like the threads made up of gold made faces of different masks that filled the whole room above the man's head.
Behind him the window sparked into deep teal colour with golden highlights.
Parmiss still remained calm and asked, "Why me?"
"It's your destiny. Something you are looking for is beyond this world and it is my duty to grant you the power to achieve it." The man spoke calmly and calculatingly.
Parmiss rose her hand, "And what do you want in return?"
"Hm," the man thought, "You will find out at the end of your journey."
In the man's hands a half mask appeared covered with golden light as he finally added, "I shall grant you the power of 'Reson' and I expect you to use it wisely."
The mask disappear from his hand and before Parmiss could speak up, The mask appeared on her face, unable to be removed.
What the hell!!!
And then with a bright light, it was as if the whole world had dissolved into fog. And her eyes finally opened.
…
Parmiss's eyes opened to find herself in her bed. Her mouth was still filled with the sweet taste of Jasmine tea.
The room was filled with the soft golden light of the sun. The red curtains also reflected a golden colour into the room.
She slowly rose and sat on her bed when suddenly, Her eyes felt like something was attached to them; Something that made her see things that she couldn't before.
Huh, What's this? Her head felt heavy.
She looked here and there. Her eyes showed things having different colours. They all had different patterns like a Clairvoyance.
As Parmiss shifted her gaze,
Stomp!
Her heart froze as she saw something reddish black, like a beast with slim legs and a dark blue aura burning around it.
"Woah!"
Her balance slipped and she fell to the ground.
She tapped her head twice and after tightly blinking, she looked up to find Eurika sitting in her bed and yawning.
"Hm" Eurika rubbed her eyes. Her vision was blurry when she looked at Parmiss and spoke with a sleepy voice, "Mama did you see Edric today? He told me that he would play with me."
And with that she again fell asleep.
What was that… Parmiss sighed.
Parmiss stood up, dusting off her clothes, "I really should get changed." She murmured,
Looking out the wooden window she saw beautiful flowers swaying in the garden in a repeating rhythm, Parmiss's eyes lit up watching them,
She went ahead and got a fresh shower and changed her clothes. From her lavish nightgown she took approach to a more formal style of clothing.
She wore brown dress-pants with a buckle belt on the left side, a white dress shirt and a wrist-coat on it. She tucked the bottom of her pants in her long brown boots. She completed it with a black uniform ribbon that created a mesmerising pallet to it.
Her hair-style was straight at the back with bangs at the front. Her brown eyes reflected a pleasant glimmer of the sun.
She looked at herself in the mirror. Her hair moved calmly.
She made her way to Shinigami's bed, "Wake up already Shinigami, It's morning." shaking her a bit.
"Uh, Please lemme sleep." Shinigami said as she tightened around the blanket.
"If you want to." She moved to open the glass window and was welcomed by a calming current of wind.
"Uh-aha" After the cold wind touched her, Shinigami couldn't but choose to wake up.
Her eyes looked tired and her hair was all messy.
"Good Morning." Parmiss smiled brightly.
"Uh, Good Morning, Parmiss." Shinigami replied, rubbing her eyes.
"So have you decided to wake up? How fast…" Parmiss slightly smiled.
"I don't feel like sleeping now." Shinigami replied. Her medium sized black hair rested near her neck.
"Then you should go get fresh. Let'shave breakfast together. " Parmiss spoke with a bright smile.
"Alright. I really wanna tickle you right now." Making a tired face one last time, Shinigami went to get fresh in the bathroom and then wore her clothes.
Parmiss quickly bounced back, "No please no!"
Shinigami waved her hand in an up to down direction, "Don't worry, I won't do it. At least for now."
"Good," Parmiss patted Shinigami.
But there was something inside her body that didn't wanted her to calm down.
She could tell something was watching her even at this very moment. Something that lurks in the shadows and strikes.
What did that man mean? Was it real or just a dream? What does Panthom want? What is Maskveil really for? Many questions came to her head. Some she could speculate an answer for but others, she didn't even know what to think of,
—And what's inside the wall of this hellish castle?
