The bigger monster swing it's arm on them as Beck was swallowed by emptiness while his instinct was taking over. The both of them disappeared from the spot at once... And then reappeared at the land of blue earth.
"Where... Is this...?" Confused, Aleyna's first word that came out of her mouth after a while.
Beck spared a glance to his back, confirming that Aleyna is there with him. That was... I did it...! I– I managed to bring her together! He punched the air in excitement for successfully teleporting the both of them together. Wait wait wait, it's not time to celebrate! Beck locked on to the situation again.
"Wait for me here. I'll come back. And do not move anywhere!" Beck strictly warned her as he teleports away, back to the school again. And Aleyna could only look at him as he disappear again.
How did he even do that...?
At the school, Roxza was still fighting for her life. Multiple times had she got thrown to the walls already. No matter how good of a fighter she is, the fact that her physical capabilities are all lower than the bigger monster makes her unable to even land a clean hit on it. Despite being so large that it's stuck in the hallway, it's arm are insanely fast and even have a great reflexes. When Roxza appeared behind it sneakily for an ambush, it still managed to counterattacked her using it's tail as a weapon.
At the other side of the hallway, the smaller monster was wheezing for air as it's throat was cut by her knife. It's almost lifeless body was leaning on the wall with blood still pouring out from wounds from Roxza's blades. Then a pair of feet appears before it. Those pair of feet were equipped with high end brown leather shoes with a great tan on it, and the stitches on it were perfectly straight and even. Truly a product of a great quality. Wait, that's not the point... The figure in front of it held a cane in front of him. Without looking up to his face, even the monster knew that the man was looking down at it. But what happened next was truly shocking.
Roxza was pinned with her back to the wall by the bigger monster. It's massive hand was holding her tight with almost no room for her to breathe. But Roxza managed to got out from the grip by teleporting herself out from it, only to ended up just behind the monster. Her breath was unstable, heart was beating fast as she was gasping for air.
The monster was going to attack with it's tail again but Beck appeared with a broken spear and stabbed the back of the monster with all his might. Along with the gravitational pull of earth's gravity and him coming from the ceiling, the force applied to stab was stronger. The spear managed to pierced it's thick skin, making it screeching in pain. At once, he jumped back and reach for Roxza without wasting a single second of the opportunity.
Roxza lifted herself up using the wall as support to reach for Beck's hand. While reaching for him, at the corner of her eyes, abnormality was spotted at the corner of her eyes. It's... Not there...? Their hands grabbed each others, and Beck quickly teleported both of them away at once.
Back on Laynt, a flicker light flashed as both Beck and Roxza appear in the middle of the forest. And Aleyna too was there, witnessing the unbelievable scene where someone just teleported out of thin air again in just an hour, and a humanoid figure with grey skin standing tall. What she was experiencing just now was nowhere near make sense to normal human, yet it happened.
"That was... Crazy, man..." Beck muttered. His heart was already felt like jumping out from his chest.
"Rakhtu." Roxza voiced. She expressing thanks to Beck for saving her but her word is of course alien to Aleyna.
"Ah, aghtu. Burt ang kon saihn." He replied with a welcome, and explain that she's the one who save them first. "Oh, lac burt... Roxza?" A question was asked whether is she Roxza. Beck have yet to see the face behind the Mankgui mask after all.
Roxza only replied with a nod, unable to speak properly due to her being extremely exhausted after the intense fight for survival against those monster back at the school.
While the conversation going, he noticed that Aleyna was totally dumbfounded. About everything that happened, and everything they were talking about. Strange surroundings, strange language, strange creature, and yet... Beck was speaking to it casually like he had known it for a long time already.
Beck calmly approaches her. I saw elder did it before. I think I might be able to do it too. Beck point out his index finger and lift it in front of his eyes. Particles... I saw particles being gathered at the tip of the finger, from inside. Since it's memory related, it might be from the brain. But not to show too much, I need to limit it just to a certain knowledge. Maybe if I just think only a part of my memory... He threw his finger to Aleyna's forehead. Like a USB drive was plugged into a computer, information began flooding into Aleyna's mind at once.
Nausea started to overwhelmed her, Aleyna threw her head away and throws up from the headache of the sudden flood of knowledges that came into her head.
Now, that's a normal reaction. People tend to throw up after the memory transfer process. So... How the hell did that guy have almost no reaction towards it before...? Roxza look at the back of Beck. And even so, isn't that the same technique of elder Broyak? How the hell is he using it casually like flipping hand? More questions began to formed in her head about the existence of Beck.
"That... What was that...? What did you do, Beck..." The nausea feeling was still dwelling on her throat but she forced herself to speak out of fear of being in danger.
A warm hand was rested on her shoulder. "Don't worry. It was just a memory transfer." He shaped a smile to relieve Aleyna's heart. "I know that you don't understand what we were talking about. So I transfer what I know about the language to you. Now, we can have a proper communication. Oh and also," Beck turned around to face Roxza. "Why did you came to help us by the way? It's not like you like me though." He wonders. "Pretty sure that you even hate me and want to kill me..." He added in low tone.
Roxza spares an unbelievable glance at him "It's not that I hate you, outer. It's just that I was being wary of you. You're a being of other planet after all."
"Outer...? Didn't you used to call me stranger before? What's outer by the way?"
"Just be grateful that I promoted you to an outer instead of stranger damn it...!" She was holding in her frustration. But soon after, her expression become loose again. Her mood seems to be heavy. "I... No... We, need help." She said with her eyes straight looking at his eyes.
. . .
The three of them were walking through the forest while Roxza was telling them about the incident that befell them just days before. Aleyna was shocked to hear such a devastating thing happened to the tribe. She was left speechless and almost frozen by the horrible incident.
"So, you're saying that the knights killed all your warriors including Vratvah?" Beck voiced. And Roxza just answered with a nod. "That giant teddy bear died you say..." He muttered.
"What? Giant teddy bear? What's that?" Roxza caught him calling his brother a teddy bear. Wait, have I mentioned this before? Nevermind, Beck still doesn't know.
"N– nothing..." Something clicked in his mind. "So... That's what actually happened at the camp."
"Hm? What camp?" Aleyna asked in wonder.
"You saw the camp huh?" Roxza looks at Aleyna with ashamed expression. "It's our survival camp after our vilage got attacked moons ago. I'm supposed to be the leader but I... Failed them all... I didn't managed to protect them..." She was crumbling down inside. Even though she was trying her best to hold it, Aleyna noticed her face, holding in the tears.
After a long walk through the forest without stop, Roxza hold her step back and tell them to do so too. She lifted one arm in the air and started doing some hand gestures.
Not long after, sounds of rustling echoing throughout the area, filling the ear. An invisible wall began to deformed, revealing a small camp in the gap between trees, figures with grey skins all covered in wounds and even detached limbs. All are looking scared and terrified. Kids losing an eye, couldn't even bring themselves to cry. A family guy lose every single of his family members. A woman that lose an arm and a leg. Even though there were not so many survivors there, but too many suffering can be seen already.
The horrible sight quickly gave Aleyna another wave of nausea and without sparing even another second, she vomited hard on the ground. Unable to hold back the feeling. Pain, sadness, grieves, are all filling the air surrounding the camp, making it almost suffocating for them who aren't a part of the camp to breathe.
At that moment, another surprise happened. Roxza was bowing her head down towards Beck from behind. "I know this is selfish of me after how I treat you before. But I beg of you to help us... I won't ask you to help us with getting revenge or reviving our village, but... Since you're from a place far away from here, please provide us with supplies. In return, we will do our best to satisfy your need." Without lifting her head to look at Beck, she bent her knees down and landed her head on the ground. She was kneeling with her head on the ground to beg for help from Beck.
Looking at their Mankgui, their leader, kneeling and begging for help from another man that is not of their clan, the rest of the remaining survivors that are able to, also kneeling towards Beck, begging for help from the young man. But none of them even know what was on his mind at the time.
Beck's face was blank, emotionless as he was silent at the time. He was overwhelmed by the shock of the current situation. But the shock didn't come from afraid or nausea of the horrible situation. Instead, it came from something within. Something deep. Something dark. Something that is never appear on his life before... His rage.
