MAHIRA
Today was the day I ended this fuck contract. I was really happy but a part of my heart was
broken for the fact that Thane was marrying another. Adamsen took me out for breakfast.
The place was nice and cozy, it was simple but the food was mindblowing.
Unfortunately it was hard swallowing every bite. It felt like a lump passing through my throat
each time I tried to swallow each bite.
I tried to eat as much as I could but to no avail. If I didn't die from an accident then I'll die from
starvation instead. Adamsen really tried his best to cheer me up. He won me a human sized
teddy bear which I sent to my apartment and then a ruby necklace as well. As I touched my
neck I realized that I still had my nuptial chain on my neck and it made me remember that I was
already divorced.
After what seemed like a long time I finally went back to my apartment. It was the same way I
left it and it felt empty obviously. I took a quick shower and wore a plain silk dress. Although it
was simple, it was beautiful. I wasn't in the mood to deck up so the only jewelry I had on me was
that very same mangalsutra I should've removed a few months ago.
Adamsen was still waiting for me outside. He smiled when he saw me but that smile vanished
when his eyes landed on my neck. He didn't say a word but just drove us to the event.
It was so beautiful there, even prettier than my own wedding decoration. We were a little late
because the bride had already gone to the altar. Bianca's gown was drowning in diamonds.
I could tell from the quality that it cost over R500 million. I think she was just wasting Thane's
money but who am I to comment.
The more I looked at her the more I envied her. To think that should've been me, but after he
marries her I'll lose all and any rights I have on Thane.
I didn't even realize when a tear rolled down my face and Adamsen wiped it off. The ceremony
was disrupted by a much too familiar voice. Yes, the villain of my story except this time I'm the
loser.
'Betrayal doesn't knock at the door does it. Long time no see, who missed me?'
Here comes the wicked witch of the west. I must say I was kind of happy that she was here, a
part of my heart hoped that she would stop the wedding someway. She had henchmen with her
and they all had guns including Ariana, 'alright everyone party's over okay. Get out of here or
just die along with the family of the groom. So what will it be?'
After saying that she pulled a trigger and shot someone randomly.
Everyone started running out whilst Ariana's henchmen grabbed Elena, Angelo and Alexander.
'Don't you involve my children Ariana. Why are you even back?'
Ariana's henchmen grabbed hold of me, Bianca and Thane as well. She slapped me hard
across the face.
'Be patient sweetie. How I missed you so much. But then after you die I'm going to miss you
even more.'
Thane, 'Ariana, you can't stand to see us happy can you?'
'I'm doing this for your happiness. To reunite lovers can't you see?' Elena, 'You really deserve to die Ariana. How I wish you died in your mother's womb.'
Ariana's laughter echoed throughout the hall.
'Ooh darling but I didn't. Tape their mouths, they are making too much noise.'
Ariana's henchmen tapped everyone's mouths. Ariana started off with Kaashvi. She kicked and
punched her on the stomach a few times.
Ariana, 'You, I never liked you. But this is your fault. If everyone here is suffering it's mostly your
fault. You wanted to play the hero didn't you but what did you do? Just ruined Mahira's life.
Sending me to prison was the worst decision you'd ever make.'
She stood in the middle of the circle that was formed. Her psychotic laughter echoed throughout
the hall.
What would it take to get rid of her?
'Ooh dear Thane, all so vulnerable.' Ariana pouted.
'I didn't think you'd believe me when I told you all those lies about Mahira but you did. You didn't
even realize that it was me. Do you remember when Elena told you that Mahira was not Mahira
but someone else? You should've believed her because she was telling the truth. That was not
Mahira, it was Aliya.'
She smiled at Thane, waving her gun in the air.
'I convinced Aliya to perform plastic surgery to look like Mahira and she did it but when she got
a taste of Mahira's life, she wanted out, so I killed her. I got you at the weakest when Mahira left
for the office that day. Ooh and before you die, I need to clarify something.'
Her eyes shone as she grabbed Thane's chin and forced him to look at her.
'Alf was alive, yes. After that bomb blast she survived and Aliya butchered her slowly and I
enjoyed every second of it. And Mahira, aaw, the poor angel suffered the consequences of my
actions. How many times do people have to tell you that this woman loves you with all her
heart? Huh. She'd never do you any harm. But because I'm generous I'll let you and Mahira
resolve your issues before you die.'
Ariana snapped her fingers and her henchmen roughly ripped off the tape from my mouth and
Thane as well. My mouth burned from the tape ripped off so harshly and I couldn't do anything
to ease the pain.
'You guys have 10 minutes to sort yourselves out.'
Ariana took out a cigarette, dragged a chair and sat looking at the both of us. She lit her
cigarette and smiled mockingly as she stole glances at us.
Thane couldn't even look me in the eye. He bowed his head unwilling to look at me. What was
going through his mind. Didn't he have anything to say? An apology, at least.
'You aren't even going to look at me. Fuckin look at me darn it.'
'Mahi, I… I'm sorry I can't.'
'Sorry? That's all I get. You turned my kids against me and sorry is all you can say after all the
accusations.'
'Mahi... I know… I fucked up… I really messed up Mahi, I'm sorry. I wasn't fair, I didn't even give
you a chance to…'
'Seven minutes left.'
Thane didn't look at me. He didn't look at me not once, he didn't look me in the eye. Look at me
please. My lips trembled and I felt a sharp pain in my chest but I ignored it thinking it was just
heartache. 'You tied me like an animal Thane. You took the words of a stranger over mine. How could you
believe Ariana over me? I've invested my whole life in you Thane, you harassed me,
blackmailed me and all the abuses and assault. If I could show you the scar's you caused would
you be happy?'
'Mahi... I don't even know how to apologize.'
'Will your apology erase all the scars, will it take away the trauma. Don't fuckin apologize
because you knew what you were doing.' I screamed.
'I'm sorry honey.'
'Don't honey me.'
'Okay enough! Time to die, the police will be here any minute. Let's start with the youngest.'
Before I could wrap my head around what was happening, Ariana shot Alex and Angelo. The
world went silent when their bodies fell limp to the ground.
I fought against the grip of the guards and when I finally freed myself. Before I could take a step
forward I was stopped by the piercing pain in my heart, my fingers refused to move, so did my
limbs, it's like everything was paralyzed and I was stuck in my body forced to bear the pain that
was coursing through every vein of my body.
'AAAAAAH AAAAAAH AAAAAAH!!!'
I cried in pain seeing as it was the only thing I could do. I heard gunshots flying through the air and that seemed to make things worse for me. I rolled on the floor closing my ears and still the pain didn't go away.
