The 5 months had passed as slow as the winter. Adamsen kept guards watching over Mahira
the whole time. He hated the family that claimed to love her. How he wanted to throw them out
of her life. Today was the last month of the duration time given by the doctor. Everyone was
standing outside her ICU room and suddenly a nurse ran out.
Nurse, 'Doctor, doctor... Mahira's condition is unstable...her pulse is dropping.'
The doctor came running and checked Mahira's pulse. It was dropping and that was not good.
Nurse, 'doctor, her brain is still not responding and now her heart is giving up as well, if her
heart stops beating she will die.'
Doctor, 'prepare for the revival equipment.'
The doctors did all they could but now not even they could save her. If possible only a miracle
could bring her back. They injected all sorts of medicine into her system but to no avail. Her
pulse was now at three and she was breathing heavily even with the oxygen mask. Elena
couldn't stand being outside anymore so she dodged the guards and ran into the room. The
doctors wanted to throw her out but she refused.
Elena, 'please allow me to be here, please. Fairy can't give up on us like this, she's strong she
can do it I know she can. Please let me be in here, please.'
Without even waiting for the doctors response Elena sat next to Mahira and bowed her
head holding on to Mahira's hand.
'Fairy you can do this, please... please please please...for my sake you can't leave us like this,
you have to fight death please fairy, for your son's and me. You promised you'd never abandon
me. What are you doing now? Get up fairy please.'
Elena's tears rolled and soaked Mahira's hand. The doctor chased her out and asked Kaashvi to
keep her under control. Mahira's pulse started getting stable, her brain was responding bit by
bit.
After an hour the doctor told them that Mahira's brain was responding and her condition was
stabilized.
Doctor, 'Mahira is a fighter, I admire her strength. She will wake up in three hours then you can
see her.' The doctor left and they looked at each other smiling. Adamsen who was standing alone just
looked at them and he pitied them because they were not going to get what they wanted. He
slowly approached them.
Adamsen, 'it's good that you are happy she is alive but I'm not going to let you near her.'
Kaashvi, 'That's my decision to make, not yours.'
Angelo, 'what gives you the right to think that you can make decisions on mommy's life.'
Elena, 'Fairy will decide what she wants, don't argue. You should celebrate that fairy is alive.'
Kaashvi, 'she is alive and I'm going to keep her alive. The best thing is for her to stay away from
Thane and all of you.'
Alexander, 'Aunt Kaashvi we are her children. You have no right to keep mom away from us.'
Adamsen, 'fighting won't do you any good. I'm the one who gets to decide. I gave you a chance
to reconcile with her didn't I? I told you that once I go after her, I won't let you take her back.
Didn't I?'
Thane, 'Mahira was always mine and you are not going to separate us. I made mistakes…'
Kaashvi, 'Not mistakes...a sin... you committed a sin.'
Adamsen, 'Kaashvi keep quiet! I'm talking to Thane. Listen here all of you, I have the power to
kill you all but I'm not going to do that. I want you all to stay away from Mahira. I don't want to
see you near her.'
Kaashvi, 'you have the power to kill right. This is Mahi we are talking about. You came into her
life recently but you are acting as if you were always there.'
Adamsen, 'Mahi was always happy with me. She felt safe and I love her.'
Thane, 'Love? You don't love her. If you loved her you wouldn't be separating her from the
people she loves.'
Adamsen, 'at least I didn't drive her insane. Do you realize that you are the reason why Mahi
nearly died in the first place? She was mentally ill because of you and your torture. This could've
been avoided if you talked to her and listened to her side of the story.'
Alexander, 'I agree with Sir dad. You should've treated mommy nicely.'
Adamsen, 'You don't get to speak little rascal. Although Thane led her to insanity, you and your
brother broke her heart. Mahira will be safer with me.'
Elena, 'How much more do you people want Mahi fairy to go through? You are not allowing her
to choose but you are making decisions for her.'
Elena looked at them, disappointed by how selfish they all were and ran to Mahira's room.
Adamsen, 'Mahira will be with me, end of story!'
Thane, 'Over my dead body. I'm not letting her come with you. We are capable of taking care of
her.'
Kaashvi, 'You are not capable of taking care of her at all. All you can do is hurt her and put her
life in danger. What makes you think I'll let you go with her huh? I'd never let you live with Mahi
again.'
They argued for about four hours not realizing how time flew. Elena was sitting with Mahira
when she woke up. Elena smiled warmly.
Elena, 'Fairy. You are awake. I missed you so much. I'm glad you are alright. I thought I'd lose
you, you are finally awake fairy.'
Mahira just looked at Elena as if she was a ghost.
Mahira, 'who are you? Who am I?' Elena, 'Fairy... What kind of question is that… It's me. Are you so angry with me that you refuse
to recognize me?'
Mahira, 'leave me alone. What are you doing? Stay away from me. I don't know you!'
Mahira pushed Elena and she fell to the ground.
