[POV - Gid Lucione Deviluke][Sainan - Yuuki House - Living Room]
Observation.
I watched Yuuki Rito handle the chaos caused by Lala's invention with that irritating calm. No, not irritating. Impressive. The same calm he demonstrated six months ago when my aura — which makes entire solar systems tremble — caused absolutely no effect on him.
Respect.
That's why I bowed. For the first time in centuries, I bowed to someone.
Because I recognize power when I see it. And Yuuki Rito... he was much more than he appeared.
Much more.
Watching.
I watched Momo observing the interactions with those calculating eyes. My middle daughter, always the strategist. Nana trying to maintain her tsundere pose but clearly intrigued. And Lala... Lala looking at Rito with genuine love that made my father's heart tighten.
Good choice.
She chose well. Better than I could have hoped.
But.
But there were reasons beyond paternal love for approving this marriage. Reasons that weighed on me like dying stars.
Reasons I needed to discuss with him. Soon.
Girls arrive.
When the girls started arriving — Asia, Haruna, that demon Rias — I almost smiled. Yuuki Rito surrounded by women clearly interested in him. As every true king should be.
Strong bloodline.
Children from him would be... extraordinary.
Sephie's touch.
I watched Sephie touch Rito's hand when we greeted each other. I saw the moment of recognition in her eyes. My wife, with her supernatural intuition — that maternal and feminine instinct that never failed — had sensed something.
Later, when we had a private moment in the kitchen while the girls were distracted, she approached and whispered:
— Gid... he's not just strong. There's something... ancient in him. Primordial. When I touched his hand, it was like touching creation itself.
I know.
I knew. Not completely, but I knew there was something cosmic about him.
[Hours Later - Yuuki Garden]
Private conversation.
I finally got a private moment with Rito. The girls were inside the house, laughing and talking. Momo probably planning something. Nana feigning disinterest. Lala being Lala.
And me, in the garden with the boy who had become central to my plans.
— Yuuki Rito — I began formally — I need to talk to you about something serious.
Serious mode.
He turned, and for a moment, I saw something in his eyes. Something ancient. Something that confirmed all my suspicions.
— About the neighboring galaxies? — he asked calmly.
He knows.
He knew. Of course he knew.
— Yes — I confirmed, letting my own mask drop. — Do you know about the galactic political situation?
Nod.
He nodded.
— I know you rule the Milky Way — he replied. — And I know you're not alone in the universe.
Exhale.
I exhaled, feeling the weight of centuries.
— The Milky Way is mine — I said, looking at the stars. — I conquered galaxy by galaxy, system by system, planet by planet. I am the Conquering King. The strongest in the Milky Way.
Pause.
I paused, letting the next part come out like a confession.
— But beyond the Milky Way... beyond my borders... there are others.
Three Threats.
— Three specifically — I continued, my voice darkening. — Three that make even me... hesitate.
First Threat.
— In the Andromeda Galaxy — I began — there exists a being called Darkseid. Lord of a planet called Apokolips. He seeks something called the Anti-Life Equation. A power that would allow him to control all sentient minds in the universe.
Grim.
— Darkseid doesn't conquer for resources or territory. He conquers to subjugate. To remove free will from all life. And his power... — I paused — his power is so absolute that even my strength would be insufficient.
Second Threat.
— In the Triangulum Galaxy — I continued — there is a tyrant called Thanos. Obsessed with "balance". He believes half of all life in the universe must be eliminated to save the other half.
Mad.
— He's mad. But mad with power to execute his madness. Thanos has already conquered thousands of worlds. Already eliminated trillions. And he's searching for ancient artifacts that would give him the power to erase half the universe with a snap of his fingers.
Third Threat.
— And in the Whirlpool Galaxy — my voice came out as a growl — there exists something worse. Frieza.
Hatred.
I felt pure hatred speaking the name.
— Frieza is cruelty personified — I explained. — He has no philosophy like Darkseid. No cause like Thanos. He causes suffering because he ENJOYS it. Destroys planets as a hobby. Enslaves entire races for fun.
Power.
— And his power... — I admitted bitterly — exceeds mine. Significantly.
Silence.
Silence fell between us. Rito processing, me letting the information settle.
— Why are you telling me this? — he finally asked.
Honesty.
— Because — I said directly — the Milky Way is approaching Andromeda. In cosmic terms, it's a rapid process. In fifty to a hundred years, our galaxies will begin to merge.
Implications.
— Which means — I continued — that Darkseid's empire and my empire will be in the same galactic space. Conflict is inevitable.
More.
— And if Darkseid moves, Thanos will move too. And if both move, Frieza won't stay behind.
War.
— War — I said simply. — War on a scale this galaxy has never seen.
Turn.
I turned to face him directly.
— That's why I need allies. Strong allies. That's why I'm happy Lala chose you.
Admission.
— When I met you six months ago and felt your power... I knew. I knew you could be the difference between survival and extinction of my people.
Question.
— So I ask directly, Yuuki Rito — I said formally. — When war comes, when these tyrants march toward Earth, toward the Milky Way, toward everything you love...
Plea.
— Will you stand with us?
Wait.
I waited. The fate of trillions depended on this apparently ordinary boy's answer.
His response.
Rito was silent for a long moment, looking at the stars. Then he smiled. Not an arrogant smile. But a smile that carried the weight of ages.
— Gid-sama — he said calmly — do you know what I really am?
Pause.
I paused. That was the question, wasn't it?
— I know you're stronger than me — I admitted. — I know your presence makes reality bend. I know even Sephie felt something primordial in you when your hands touched.
But.
— But I don't know exactly what you are — I confessed.
Reveal.
He turned to me, and for a moment — just a moment — he let his mask fall completely.
The presence that emanated from him made my knees want to buckle. Not from fear. But from instinctive recognition of something infinitely greater.
— I am — he said simply — the one who created everything. The one who existed before time. The one the supernatural factions know as Yahweh, as God, as the Creator.
Shock.
Shock. Absolute shock.
— And as for your question — he continued, that cosmic presence diminishing again to tolerable levels — about standing with you when war comes?
Smile.
He smiled.
— Gid-sama, I won't just stand with you — he said calmly. — I'll ensure that Darkseid, Thanos, and Frieza learn a very important lesson.
What lesson?
— What lesson? — I asked, voice coming out hoarse.
Power.
His presence pulsed once, making the entire garden — no, the entire city — vibrate in harmonic frequency.
— That nobody — he said, and there was absolute power in his voice — NOBODY threatens my family and lives to tell about it.
Relief.
The relief I felt was so intense I almost fell to my knees.
— I understand — I murmured.
Protection.
— Your daughters — he continued — Lala, Momo, Nana. Your wife Sephie. Your empire. All under my protection now. Through marriage to Lala, through alliance, through the simple choice that I CHOOSE to protect them.
Gratitude.
— Thank you — I said, and meant it from the bottom of my heart. — Thank you, Yuuki Rito. No... thank you, Creator-sama.
Casual.
He laughed, returning to that casual second-year student persona.
— Just call me Rito — he said. — "Creator-sama" is too formal for family.
Family.
Family.
Yes. He was right.
We were family now.
And with God literally in the family...
Future.
The future suddenly seemed much brighter.
Let Darkseid come. Let Thanos try his genocide. Let Frieza show his cruelty.
They would discover very quickly that they had made a fundamental mistake.
Mistake.
They had threatened God's family.
And there is no power in the cosmos that can save you from that.
None.
None.
Smile.
I smiled for the first time in months without weight on my shoulders.
— So — I said, returning to a lighter tone — when will the wedding be?
Laugh.
Rito laughed, and the sound was like celestial music.
— Let's let Lala decide the pace — he replied. — But soon. Definitely soon.
Perfect.
Perfect.
Absolutely perfect.
Protection secured.
My family's protection was guaranteed.
By the most powerful force that ever existed.
And all I had to do was approve the fiancé my daughter had already chosen.
Irony.
The irony was almost funny.
Almost.
