Chapter 192 - Cult Of Cuuy War XVII: Belbound vs JFK

The ground shook with a heavy, rhythmic intensity as the beast monster Belbound advanced across the shattered asphalt. He stood twenty feet tall, his dense charcoal fur glowing faintly beneath the intricate gold runes etched across his broad chest. Thick chains forged of warm gold clanked against his massive frame with every deliberate step.

Looking up at the towering enforcer, JFK tilted his head slightly. "A little backup would not offend me right now," he murmured to himself. "This one looks serious."

Belbound halted a few yards away, projecting a calm and terrifying authority. "Invader. Give me your name before I bury you."

"A beast with honor," JFK replied lightly. "That is rare. Mine is JFK. Nice to meet you."

"Postpone the courtesy," Belbound rumbled, his voice vibrating right through the dirt. "When I am finished with you, if you can still speak, say it again."

A deep, resonant gong echoed across the battlefield as the massive bell hovering directly above Belbound chimed once. Internal threat warnings instantly flooded JFK's visual feed.

"Every one of my sensors is advising retreat," JFK noted cheerfully. "That is not usually a good sign."

Belbound let out a low, rumbling laugh. "You sense danger from me, yet you stay here. Why?"

"I'm not doing this because it's easy," JFK answered smoothly.

"JFK…" Roy grumbled in his ear.

"I am doing this because it is hard."

Roy barked out a single laugh over the comms at the sheer audacity of him.

JFK launched his opening offensive, casting rapid contract spells to bind the massive creature to the earth. The golden chains simply shattered. Belbound walked right through the restraints, reducing them to floating sparks. Pivoting sharply, JFK condensed moisture from the cavern air and fired a dense volley of hardened ice spears, only to watch them explode harmlessly against the monster's heavy musculature.

"JFK, do you need help?" Roy asked over the comms. "I can send Truman."

"Not yet," JFK responded, ducking under a sweeping punch that displaced the air violently enough to rattle his chassis. "Ask Not will not work with our magical capability this close. I need another route."

Another deafening clang erupted from the hovering bell. Belbound growled out a series of cruel laughs. "Two bells have marked you, machine. Most warriors would already be crawling away."

"I assumed you actually possessed proper sealing techniques," JFK shot back, stepping entirely out of reach. "There is absolutely no other way you could have broken mine that easily."

Belbound chuckled, thoroughly enjoying the physical domination.

"Unfortunately for you, I am the best person in my group to keep you here," JFK added, raising his guard. "So here is where you stay."

"Are you sure you do not want any help?" Truman chimed in over the comms. "You look like you are getting pretty banged up."

"There is no doubt this freak is strong," JFK grunted, absorbing a brutal strike to his reinforced shoulder. "But you have hit me with worse."

Truman laughed warmly across the network. "That I have."

Belbound stepped forward, throwing his entire immense weight into a catastrophic downward blow. The impact drove JFK violently down to his knees. The towering monster looked down at the kneeling Presidroid and released a triumphant roar of laughter.

"This is done, metal golem," Belbound declared.

JFK slowly tilted his head up to meet the monster's furious gaze. "Oh, we are finished now?" He raised a single hand. "Forgotten Scripts: Executive Privilege."

Every single gold chain wrapped around JFK snapped instantly, dissolving into glowing dust. Before Belbound could even register the release, JFK delivered the follow-up command.

"Forgotten Scripts: Executive Order."

The shattered chains materialized out of thin air, whipped violently upward, and locked directly onto Belbound. The colossal bell transported directly above the monster's head, slamming down with an impossible, crushing weight that pinned the towering enforcer helplessly against the dirt.

Leaving the monster writhing against his own restraints, JFK tapped his earpiece. "Truman. Send one of your Fat Ladys to my position."

"Just one?" Truman asked from his distant position.

"No," JFK replied, watching Belbound fight against the chains. "Thirty. I want him ended."

"Alright, coming up," Truman confirmed.

JFK stepped forward, bending down so his face sat perfectly parallel with Belbound's panicked, furious eyes.

"Anyway," JFK said, "it was nice to meet you."

He stood up and immediately started walking away. Glancing toward the horizon, JFK spotted dozens of tiny bright lights ascending rapidly into the subterranean sky, arcing straight toward his exact coordinates.

He broke into a desperate sprint. "Truman, an extra second would have been appreciated!" JFK yelled into the comms, pushing his mechanical legs to their absolute limit to clear the blast radius.

A rapid-fire sequence of blinding nuclear explosions detonated directly over the pinned monster. The heavy, overlapping blasts shook the cavern, drowning out Belbound's final roar in a tempest of white fire. When the smoke finally cleared, nothing remained of the massive creature except for his severed arms, his severed legs, and a tiny, mundane bell resting quietly in the center of the scorched crater.

JFK jogged back, picked up the small item with a curious hum, and dropped it into his pocket. He turned and rushed across the battlefield to locate Andri.

He arrived at the edge of the Convention's ruins to find Orin still fully encased in his massive ethereal armor. The boy kept his impossible weight locked firmly over the crushed, thoroughly pulverized torso of Tommy Tenderlips.

"I am not going to let up until I know for a fact he is dead," Orin insisted, staring intently at the squashed body.

"Boy, he is just… just a head right now," JFK pointed out, gesturing downward at the gruesome puddle. "He is dead. Trust me. You can see his item dropped right underneath him. Get up."

Orin deactivated his magic. The massive ethereal armor vanished instantly, allowing him to finally stand up unencumbered. He looked down at the mess of red flesh and ivory bone, letting out a heavy breath.

"So we actually helped?" Orin asked, looking up at the towering Presidroid.

"A thousand-ton armor spell around a small boy has its uses," JFK replied, crossing his arms.

They turned away from the splatter and walked over to check on Andri. Before anyone could ask if she was alright, a massive, deafening vibration tore violently through the air.
