Chapter 350 - The Crack in the Wall (4)

Roar!

The terrifying roar echoed throughout the dark building, and countless walkers sleeping in this place woke up. The birds outside rose from the surrounding area, swinging their wings and quickly flying off into the distance.

That swollen and deformed figure slowly came out of the doorway of this office room, and under the lighting from some broken windows, its appearance came into view, and at the same time Jason froze.

Dense layers of muscles covered its entire torso, its large right arm was as big as the entire lower half of its body, its claws were so large that Jason was sure it could cut through metal like butter. Those thick layers of muscle that had mutated in the creature's body made it look much bigger, stronger and more dangerous.

That giant made a loud noise every time it moved, staring at its prey that stood motionless in the center of this place.

Strong, fast, dangerous, unstoppable—what the hell should Jason consider when facing this thing?

If in the past, no matter if they were normal walkers, runner-class walkers or those new ones with their heads deformed into a mushroom shape attacked him, he was confident in facing them since his body and those of the infected weren't much different. But now his thinking had completely changed.

The virus had completely changed the appearance of that human infected by the virus; Jason was sure that this walker or infected was extremely dangerous.

"I'm lucky this isn't the first time I've fought hand-to-hand against creatures much stronger than me!" Jason knew he couldn't lose; a single mistake and those enemy claws would cut him in two.

Jason touched the camera on his chest to begin recording; whether he died or defeated it, the information stored on his suit would help his organization with future problems of this kind.

"Haha, I want to know how strong and how intelligent you are!"

Jason was very impressed by this walker that had evolved to an unrecognizable point, and he knew he couldn't let it live, as this would cause a huge problem. Besides, there was no escape even if he wanted to run from this place, so there was nothing else to do.

Obviously, it wasn't a good idea to stay here to face this mutated subject he had never seen before without first understanding the threat of the other side.

But this time, with no way out, there was no time to prepare and learn everything that new enemy could do. Therefore, Jason breathed confidently and felt the blood in his body pumping over and over from his heart to the furthest corners of his body.

Roar!

And just when Jason believed things couldn't get more complicated, the walkers that had been attracted by the roar of this deformed giant arrived in a short time to the room and all ran toward Jason's figure.

At the same time, the walker closest to the monster—if its behavior was abnormal—should be a nuisance to that infected giant.

At the same time, Jason watched as the walkers approached his body and then saw that the giant monster wasn't approaching him, so he immediately focused first on eliminating those annoying bags of flesh.

Bang Bang Bang!

The steady shots penetrated the heads of all those figures running in his direction, and none of them could advance even a single meter toward their target.

But if it weren't because Jason had been watching that dangerous figure in the back, the one he decided to call the giant infected, he would have eliminated all those walkers much faster.

Jason knew he was at an advantage as long as that giant infected didn't decide to approach, and although this reaction was somewhat surprising, he decided to remain calm in the situation and be grateful for all these advantages he got while eliminating walkers.

Bang Bang Bang!

One walker after another fell to the ground, and in a short time more than thirty walkers had been killed by Jason and his excellent figure.

As the bullets in his magazine ran out, Jason grew more nervous, since as soon as he stopped shooting, it was possible that the giant infected would attack him.

Roar!

But shortly after his bullets ran out and the walkers around him were eliminated, Jason knew the moment had come to face the strongest enemy.

With a shiver running down his spine, Jason dropped his weapon to the ground and lifted his two curved machete-like swords and looked at the giant infected: "You're a damn ant compared to the things I've killed throughout my life, come at me you damn monster!"

After speaking, Jason roared and attacked the giant infected in front of him, and his long blade soon cut first into the ribs of his enemy once the infected, with a long and large hand, struck.

Puff!

The sharp blade of his machete pierced the muscles of this giant infected in an instant, and a long sharp cut could be seen opening many of its piled-up muscles.

But with this initial attack Jason made, the giant infected seemed not to feel it and stretched its right hand with those long sharp claws to cut in half the prey that dared to hurt it.

The gigantic arm on its right side moved at great speed; even with those great deformities on its arm, its speed and strength were so fast it could cut a person in two.

Jason, who had been prepared from the beginning, moved back as much as he could, but even then it wasn't enough to avoid feeling the claw of that giant infected break part of his armor.

With some distance between them, Jason positioned his body and prepared to attack again. If he was right, once he managed to damage the nerves of its right arm and aimed for the giant's head, it wouldn't be a problem.

Therefore, making a decision, Jason moved once again toward the enemy. His long blade moved toward the same target, but this time that giant wasn't going to let itself be hurt, so it stopped moving its right hand and instead attacked with its left arm.

Jason knew he had to dodge that attack, but he also knew this was his chance to strike twice in the same place and cause significant damage to the enemy.

"Ah!" With a roar, Jason moved his two swords and the sharp blade cut a long piece of flesh that immediately released spurting blood.

But at that same moment, Jason lowered his right elbow as much as he could toward his ribs and also his head to receive that blow.

Crash!

As if a massive hammer struck him, Jason felt a severe pain that penetrated deep into his ribs, and at the same time, a terrifying pushing force sent him flying, crashing into several office desks before stopping in the distance.

Roar!!!

This time the giant infected suffered very serious damage; a part of its deformed body—specifically the cavity or hollow that forms in the lower part of the union of the arm and the torso, in other words, the armpit—was cut, and now its right arm, with which it moved its sharp claws, had been rendered useless.

Because of the weight of its right arm, which it couldn't use at the moment, the deformed giant swayed from side to side trying to stabilize its figure.

Jason got up from the ground while holding the lower part of where he had been struck, his breathing was short, and what he wanted most now was that none of his ribs had broken. Although his elbow and arm, plus the armor, covered part of the attack, he knew he had been hit quite hard.

The giant infected on the other hand was very angry; its body was strong and before, no one had been able to cause serious damage to it. But now, its defenseless armor was so fragile that it had been cut like a piece of paper in front of that man who had sent it flying.

Only at that moment did the giant infected realize it had greatly underestimated its enemy.

Jason, who had taken out his gun with his right hand and a knife with his left, walked painfully toward the center of the office room, preparing to attack.

This time he wasn't going to take the initiative to attack, but instead remained motionless, waiting for the enemy's attack.
