The usual hierarchy of power in the room felt meaningless when compared to the two figures standing casually at the center like none of this even mattered to them.
Some leaders leaned toward their advisors, whispering urgently. Others tapped on tablets pulling up data that no longer seemed relevant and a few simply stared, trying to reconcile everything they had just heard with what they believed about reality. President Hanson stepped slightly back from the podium, clearly letting the moment breathe, but also signaling that this was now open discussion.
That was when the first hand rose, followed quickly by several others. Narisva glanced around, clearly amused, while Veneri just rolled his shoulders slightly like he had already expected this exact reaction from the start.
A representative from the United Kingdom stood first.
"If what you're saying is true, then you must understand how difficult this is to accept without verification, so my question is simple. How do we know this is not some form of advanced deception or projection designed to manipulate us?"
Narisva sighed.
"You don't, and honestly that's your problem, not ours. We're not here to convince you with tricks or performances. If we wanted to manipulate you, we wouldn't need to stand here explaining anything when we could just rewrite your entire perception of reality and you wouldn't even notice it happened."
Veneri shrugged casually beside her.
"If you want proof, you can ask your scientists to analyze the energy signatures in this room right now. I guarantee they're already panicking over numbers that don't make sense. That should be enough to tell you this isn't something your current technology can fake."
Before the man could respond, a woman from Japan spoke up.
"You mentioned that fixing the Moon is not difficult from your perspective, so what exactly does that process involve? What risks does it pose to Earth during execution?"
Narisva answered that one.
"It involves manipulating the gravitational balance and resetting its orbital path using spatial control, which means I would essentially override the current trajectory and force it back into a stable cycle. The only real risk is if I do it wrong, which I won't."
Veneri added to elaborate her point.
"The bigger risk is actually your planet's structural tolerance to sudden gravitational correction, but she can manage that by adjusting the transition instead of snapping it instantly. So from your perspective, it'll just feel like things slowly stabilizing rather than a violent shift. This is the eighth iteration of Earth's destruction, by the way."
A representative from China spoke next.
"If you possess this level of power, then what prevents you from becoming a global threat once you decide your cooperation is no longer beneficial?"
Narisva stopped herself from laughing.
"Nothing. There's no system on this planet that can stop us if we decide to act. The fact that we're standing here talking instead of doing that should already tell you that we don't care about ruling your world. You're thinking in terms of control and dominance because that's how your world operates. But from our perspective, this place isn't worth that kind of effort. If anything, we're more interested in observing than interfering. Your safety depends less on your defenses and more on not giving us a reason to change our minds."
There was a brief silence before a representative from Nigeria spoke.
"You said this is the eighth iteration of this world, or something similar to that. So does that mean our world has also gone through multiple cycles? And if so, what happens at the end of each one?"
Veneri thought about it for a moment before he spoke.
"Yes, your world is part of a looping system. Each cycle ends differently depending on the variables involved but in your case, this Moon collision is likely the trigger event for this iteration's reset. Think of it like a reset button being pressed when things reach a certain threshold. Right now, your world is heading straight toward that threshold, so if you want to avoid starting over, fixing the Moon is your best option."
A representative from France raised her hand next.
"You mentioned that you will explore the world while assisting us. So what guarantees do we have that your presence will not disrupt global stability or create unintended consequences?"
Narisva answered that.
"There are no guarantees because just us existing here is already disrupting your stability. But, we're not going to go around blowing things up or interfering with your governments unless someone does something stupid enough to force that situation. Honestly, your biggest disruption right now is going to be your social media, not us. People are already recording everything and spreading it faster than your governments can control, so you might want to focus on managing your own reactions before worrying about ours."
That drew a few uncomfortable glances around the room because everyone knew he was right. A representative from Brazil spoke next. He was a bit nervous but curious.
"You said you came here accidentally. What exactly caused that, and is there a risk of more… visitors arriving the same way?"
"We entered a structure tied to a Celestial core, which triggered a spatial displacement that connected our world to this one. That kind of event isn't common so no. No one is coming. Though to be honest, you should be more worried about what kind of people might show up next, because not everyone from our world is as nice as we are."
That line landed harder than anything else so far. The room fell into another heavy silence. President Hanson stepped forward again, sensing the shift, but before he could speak, Narisva stretched slightly and glanced around like she was getting bored.
"If that's all the serious questions for now, then you can relax a bit. We're not going anywhere today and we'll handle the Moon situation soon enough, so try not to panic yourselves into making bad decisions before we even start."
Veneri nodded slightly, glancing at the room one more time before he made his point.
"And just so we're clear, cooperation goes both ways. So as long as you don't try anything reckless, this arrangement will work out just fine, and you'll get your world saved without any unnecessary complications. Don't try to shoot us because that won't work. Our gravity is more than thirty times stronger than this one so even a nuclear bomb wouldn't harm us."
