Carrying a few stems of flowers he plucked somewhere, his lips curled up slightly, seemingly unsurprised to see the three of us gathered here.
"I had a feeling you'd be here," he commented as soon as he came. "I was right."
"We all miss him," Etienne replied. He was smiling, but it didn't reach his eyes. Grief was still there, masking the guilt he revealed earlier.
Terrius turned to me. "You brought Mory?"
"Yeah. We're jumping into the vortex tomorrow, so I want to take him to an amusement park before we leave." I tapped Etienne on the shoulder. "Why don't you join us?"
Etienne hesitated. "...maybe next time."
"Alright." Maybe it was inconsiderate of me to ask that. I looked at Terrius, my eyes telling him to take care of Etienne.
"I'll join Etienne's soda party," he answered casually.
Claude had been silent all this time. When it was time to leave, he simply nodded at both of them and walked away.
