The commander's eyes briefly landed on me before shifting to Claude.
"A leader will be assigned to them," he said. "And that leader will be responsible for their protection."
"It won't be efficient at all," Claude remarked. "The person assigned to protect them could be helping fight the monster instead of babysitting Minders. Why—
"Vanderheinz," Commander Lan interrupted, his tone firm, "we're doing this to reduce the casualties inside the vortex. If a Minder is present nearby while the Seekers fight, the dark energy will no longer limit them from fighting at their fullest capacity."
The room grew quiet.
