As Sabrina stood in front of the stall and talked to the stall owner, while people walked past them, they stared at the little girl with strange coloured hair, silver hair was rare. I guess I will have to get a hat for her too, Sabrina thought as she quickly glanced at her daughter, who seemed surprised at all she was seeing because her mouth was wide open. Sabrina turned back to talk to the stall man who refused to sell both hats for one silver coin,
Genevieve who was lost in what she was seeing right now, stared around in amazement, her eyes kept darting everywhere till it came to stop at a child just like her holding a beautiful doll in her hand, the little girl stared back at Eve, who had a strange looking hair, the girl saw her staring at her doll and gestured for her to come,
Eve was shocked, was she really being called? Down in the ocean the other children never wanted to play with her but this girl...
Eve walked away from her mother, her legs still not moving normally as she wasn't used to the legs yet, the other girl watched how the girl with silver hair walked strangely, Eve came to pause in front of her and noticed that the girl had same color of eyes like hers, her eyes widen,
"Hi, I'm Mia," the girl spoke and smiled,
"I'm Eve," Eve said simply, as she reddened in nervousness, she has never been spoken to in such a kind way before by the other children in the ocean, "Are you alone? Where is your mother?" Eve asked as she noticed the girl was standing on her own with her doll,
"She went to get somethings and told me to wait for her, my home is not far from here," Mia said, Eve ignored the tattered dress the girl wore, which meant she was poor but Eve didn't really care about that as Mia was nice to her,
"And you? Is that your mother?" Mia asked looking towards the hat shop, Eve turned to see her mother and smiled,
"Yes," she smiled,
"She's beautiful," Mia said while Eve smiled, "I saw you staring at my doll, would you like to play with it together?"
"Really?" Eve was once again surprised that Mia wanted to play with her, Mia nodded.
"Yes please,"
"Should we go over to my house and play? It's not far, we will be back soon," Mia said and Eve turned to look at her mother who seemed business, now discussing something else with the man,
"Sure," Eve smiled and together the two little girls walked away from the woman standing by the hat shop,
"Hallow has changed a lot, haven't you been living here to know?" The stall owner asked Sabrina. He was an elderly man,
"No..... I traveled to another kingdom for work and I've been there for years," Sabrina lied, "What's going on with the royal family?" She tried to get a little information from the man, who seemed to know alot,
"Hmm, a lot is," the man said before leaning forward, too close, Sabrina had to move back a bit, "The prince haven't been living in the castle," he whispered,
"What!" Sabrina's eyes went wide, "Why is that so?"
"That I don't know, Lady. Are you getting the hats or not?" The man frowned as he stared at Sabrina. Wondering if the young lady had nothing to get from him and was just looking for informations from him,
"Oh yes of course, one second, I want my daughter to give this a try-" Sabrina had turned only to find Eve missing, she frowned then suddenly turned worried as she looked around, "Eve!"
Eve spent time playing with Mia and her doll and suddenly remembering that her mother must be looking for her, she stood up,
"I must go. My mother would be worried," she said and Mia smiled,
"You are right. Do you know your way? Or should I take you back?" Mia asked,
"That won't be necessary, I can find my way back, thank you," Eve smiled, "Thank you for sharing your doll with me and also playing with me. Back where I came from the children my age don't like to play with me," she said and suddenly turned sad,
Mia stood up too and smiled, "That's fine. It happens so, we are now friends, you should come by some other time and we shall play with my doll together again,"
"That would be nice," Eve smiled, hugged Mia and walked away from the girl's house.
As she alone, unable to walk well, walked from corridor to corridor, trying to find her way to her mother, she found out she had lost her way and didn't know where to go, she turned worried but wasn't scared.
Eve kept moving around as people passing by stared at her in a strange way, almost similar to how the folks in the ocean did, why do everyone hate me? The little girl thought sad but then remembered Mia, who had played with her and she smiled again.
"Look at that girl, what a strange color of hair and pale skin and the way she walks," a woman said to a man as they stared at Eve while others who heard also turned to look at her,
"She looks strange, walking alone with no shoes, could she be a witch?" The man said and people frowned as they watched the girl,
"Of course she is! Look at her! She looks like one," another person said and people started nodding, "She thinks she can fool us by turning into a child!"
"Let's capture and burn her before she causes trouble,"
"Yes! Yes!!" People started yelling as they approached Eve with huge forks and knives,
