Yohana looked out the window, watching the dark, unfamiliar trees blur past. It was already late into the night, and there was still no sign of their destination. Her stomach let out a low, rumbling sound, betraying her hunger in the quiet vehicle.
Iskander turned his head for a brief moment, checking on her, before refocusing his attention on the dark road ahead.
"Your Majesty, I don't think we are going to reach that place tonight," she murmured, leaning her head against the glass.
"Didn't I ask you to eat something before we stepped out? I gave you an hour to prepare," Iskander retorted.
Yohana rolled her eyes, turning away from the window to glare at him. "You make it sound like it's entirely my fault. Why do you always have to blame me for everything?"
"I didn't blame you. Don't be angry," Iskander stated calmly. He scanned the roadside ahead, and after a few hundred meters, he pulled the car smoothly into the gravel parking lot of a brightly lit restaurant.
