Iskander smiled a little, seeing that Yohana was already anticipating a trip like that, but her safety was his utmost priority.
"I promise that I'll take you to see the world's most beautiful sceneries and bring you back home safely," Iskander said as he took Yohana's hand in his, his warm fingers wrapping securely around hers. He looked down at her, his gaze dropping to her lips before meeting her eyes again. "What kind of gift would you want for the next morning?"
Yohana's cheeks burned hot from the intense closeness, her heart hammering hard against her ribs. But soon, she composed herself and pulled her hand back, tilting her chin up defiantly.
"Why ask me?" she said in a complaining tone, crossing her arms over her chest. "If I tell you exactly what I want, then what effort have you actually put into courting me? A true king should know how to please his future queen without asking for a cheat sheet."
