Iskander stepped forward, his eyes still glowing a dangerous gold. He grabbed Yohana's arm and firmly pushed her behind him, using his body as a protective shield. In a flash of lethal speed, he lunged and caught the witch by her neck, lifting her slightly off the ground.
"Who told you she was here?" Iskander demanded, his voice dropping into a terrifying alpha growl as his grip tightened.
The witch groaned in pain, her pitch-black eyes wide with fear. She frantically tried to mumble a spell under her breath, but with her broken wrist and Iskander choking the life out of her, she couldn't make the magic work.
"Answer me, or I'll lock you so deep in a dungeon filled with anti-magic spells that you'll never see the light of day again!" he roared.
When she only choked in response, Iskander, disgusted, shoved her away, letting her fall onto the stone path with a loud, heavy thud.
