Chapter 180: Peerless Beauty

Zhang Yang glanced at Yang Fei, who lowered her long lashes and stepped aside, seemingly not wanting to interrupt his call.

Yang Jing had said she'd move tonight. Zhang Yang knew that, though they had agreed on around nine o'clock. Since she called now, he had to go pick her up.

He also knew Yang Fei hadn't eaten. A bit of chocolate wasn't enough. If he didn't take her to eat soon, her stomach would suffer. So dinner was a must.

Damn, what a dilemma. The two sisters weren't outright enemies, but forcing them to eat or work together? That would be trouble.

He was caught between a rock and a hard place.

"What's wrong? Is it inconvenient? If so, forget it." On the other end, Yang Jing's voice carried doubt after his long silence.

Zhang Yang hurriedly replied, "No, I'll come pick you up. But… can I be a little late?"

"No, I'm alone at home…"

Zhang Yang understood now. She was alone. It made sense—such a big house, and no one else there. That would make any girl uneasy. But how come no one else was home?

"Didn't you have Grandpa and Aunt Zhao? What about your dad?" Zhang Yang asked quietly. Besides them, there was also a driver and bodyguard for Yang Shushan, but if the old man wasn't home, neither would the driver be.

"Grandpa went to the capital, Aunt Zhao's on leave, Dad went to Mingzhou for a meeting, and my sister just got home. Now I'm all alone. So pitiful…"

Alone? Zhang Yang felt a rush of excitement. What a golden opportunity! If only Yang Fei weren't beside him.

He really wanted to ask the system for a perfect solution. Unfortunately, he was sitting at minus thirty-one points. He could only watch this perfect chance slip away.

"Then… you haven't eaten yet, have you?" Zhang Yang asked.

"Of course not. Oh, right—you reminded me. I should eat before moving."

"Then Qiduo Café it is." Zhang Yang glanced at Yang Fei. She was standing by the hallway window, absentmindedly staring outside.

He calculated. It would take him twice as long to get there as Yang Jing. If she arrived first, no problem—he could figure things out with Yang Fei on the way.

"Sister Jing, I'll tell you something secretly—Teacher Yang Fei hasn't eaten either. I'll trick her into coming to Qiduo. Sound good?"

"Really? That girl probably didn't sleep last night either, right?"

"Yeah, so I'll take her over for dinner—you two can meet."

"You're clever. Fine, I'll listen to you. I wanted to check on her anyway." Yang Jing clearly liked the idea. If Zhang Yang had told her he couldn't help her move, she'd probably hate him by now.

Zhang Yang patted his chest. Good—one down. Now for the hard part.

"Sister Jing, you owe me one." He didn't forget to add.

"Got it, stingy. But… are you sure that brat Feifei will even come out? If you can get her to, I'll owe you big." Yang Jing's laughter on the line was full of teasing charm.

Hanging up, Zhang Yang held his phone, thinking of a plan as he stared at Yang Fei's graceful back.

"Finished your call?" Before he could approach, Yang Fei turned around on her own.

"Yeah."

"Yang Jing's?"

"Huh?" Zhang Yang's jaw nearly dropped. He'd spoken so quietly!

Yang Fei shot him a glance, brushed past him, and started toward her room. "If you're busy, go ahead."

"No way. You haven't eaten." Zhang Yang panicked and reached out to grab her wrist.

Just that slight touch sent a soft, silky sensation through his hand. Yang Fei froze briefly, then quickly pulled free. "I'm fine."

"Let's go eat." Zhang Yang looked into her eyes, speaking earnestly.

"Then… don't blame me for delaying you." Yang Fei glanced at him and gave a faint smirk.

"Come on, my dear teacher. If you ruin your stomach, your student won't forgive himself."

Hearing that, Yang Fei couldn't help but smile slightly and rolled her eyes. "Smooth talker."

As Zhang Yang led her downstairs, he thought to himself—first step, success.

Once in the car and driving for a while, Zhang Yang glanced at Yang Fei in the passenger seat. Before he could speak, she turned to him and said, "If you've got something to say, just say it."

"Haha, teacher knows I've got something on my mind?" Zhang Yang laughed nervously. Not only was she stunning, but she was also sharp—able to read people like a pro, maybe even better than Lulu.

Yang Fei didn't answer right away. She looked ahead at the winding, smooth road and sighed lightly. "Zhang Yang, do I seem like someone hard to approach to you guys?"

"Of course not. I think you're quite approachable."

"Approachable?"

"No, I mean, teacher's actually easy to get along with. It's just that normal people see how beautiful you are, feel inferior, and don't dare talk to you. That creates the illusion that you're hard to approach. The world misunderstands you—you don't shun it."

Hearing that, Yang Fei turned her beautiful face toward the window, her lips curving slightly. "Yeah, right."

Then she turned back, looking at Zhang Yang calmly. "So, what's bothering you? That bitter face gives it away."

"Teacher's too sharp. Okay, I'll say it."

"Quit stalling. Don't you want to be a big man?"

"Sister Jing's moving into the villa… is that okay?" Zhang Yang looked at her.

Yang Fei froze, then glanced at him after a pause. "This isn't my house. Why ask me?"

"But you're my teacher. You're basically the boss here. Like how an emperor still has an empress dowager above him."

"Pfft!" Yang Fei laughed—it was Zhang Yang's first time seeing her smile.

He hadn't expected it—her smile was even more breathtaking than her usual calm. The radiance of her flawless face, the two tiny dimples beneath her lips…

Her beautiful eyes narrowed slightly, shining like stars that could brighten the night sky.

She was too beautiful.

No words in any language could describe it. Compared to her, even movie stars and beauty queens were mere mortals, not worth mentioning.

This was true peerless beauty.

"Empress dowager, huh? You sure know how to talk. Am I really that over the top?" Yang Fei turned back to him with a calm smile.

"If she wants to move in, fine. What's it got to do with me? I'm just staying here temporarily anyway."

Hearing that, Zhang Yang felt a faint sting. He knew Yang Fei wouldn't stay forever. If he didn't find a way, she'd leave eventually.

But for now, he still had time to think. Today, he realized just how lonely Yang Fei really was.

Alone outside, with almost no friends. The only one she could talk to more than a few words with—was probably him. The thought of her leaving made his heart ache.

"Then teacher, Sister Jing's been busy all day too. She's starving. You don't mind her joining us, right?"

Yang Fei blinked, then shot him a glare. "So that's it, huh? You were setting me up. You could've just said you wanted us all to eat together! You think she's gonna eat me or something?"

"So teacher agrees?"

"Invite whoever you want. Why should I care?" she said crossly.

Zhang Yang's heart finally relaxed. That was not easy.

At Qiduo Café, Yang Jing had already arrived. When she saw Yang Fei behind Zhang Yang, her shock was obvious—almost comical.

But she quickly regained composure, stepped forward, and asked with concern, "Feifei, are you okay after last night?"

Yang Fei didn't give her any attitude. She just nodded, glanced at Zhang Yang, and said lightly, "Let's just say, thanks to your dear brother."

Yang Jing gave Zhang Yang a small smile. "Good, as long as you're fine. Let's eat."

There wasn't much real food in the café, but Zhang Yang ordered enough snacks to fill the table—more than enough for three people.

Yang Jing talked a lot, clearly trying to lighten the mood. Yang Fei, though quieter than usual, was at least responding now.

After eating, she suddenly asked, "Why'd you decide to move into his place?"

Yang Jing froze. After so many years, it was the first time Yang Fei had asked her anything. The question wasn't easy to answer.

She glanced at Zhang Yang, hesitated, and said, "Ask him. He said the company's core members should live there—it's faster for meetings."

Yang Fei only looked at Zhang Yang once, then lowered her head, taking small bites of a pumpkin cake. "And Grandpa doesn't need company at home?"

"Grandpa's fine. Uncle Liu and Aunt Zhao are there. Dad's just been unwell lately."

"And you still left?" Yang Fei glanced at her, then quickly shook her head. "Forget I said that."

"It's just temporary," Yang Jing said, sneaking a mischievous glance at Zhang Yang before straightening up again. "No one's home these days, and I'm alone anyway…"

"You're grown and still afraid of being alone?" Yang Fei scoffed, then looked at Zhang Yang, checked her watch, and said, "It's about time, isn't it? You have moving to do."

"Should I take you home first?"

"No need." She glanced at Yang Jing. "Someone's got too many clothes. I'll help your student out so no one bullies him."

Hearing that, Yang Jing wasn't angry at all. She even secretly gave Zhang Yang a thumbs-up. Nice one, little brother!

And Zhang Yang's heart lifted. The ice queen was finally starting to melt. Sister Jing, let's see how you'll thank me now.
