As Lorelei's command fell, Uchiha Shisui stepped forward. He spoke calmly, "My apologies, Selene."
"Fūma Shuriken!"
In a flash, Shisui summoned a massive Fūma Shuriken from a sealing scroll he carried and hurled it toward Selene with immense force.
The weapon whizzed through the air with a terrifying sound, heading straight for her.
Selene reacted swiftly, leaping backward to evade its trajectory. Though she wasn't at the peak of her power as in the past, her years of combat training and enhanced reflexes proved sufficient.
The shuriken soared overhead, and Selene let out a brief sigh of relief.
However, in the blink of an eye, Shisui vanished, appearing above her position near the spinning shuriken.
"Fire Style: Fire Dragon Jutsu!"
A massive fire dragon erupted from Shisui's hands, roaring toward Selene and engulfing the staircase in flames.
"Boom!"
The staircase collapsed, and Selene's figure was consumed by the fiery inferno.
Lorelei's eyes widened in surprise, "He can command flames? Fascinating."
Her curiosity about the abilities of ninjas deepened more.
Amidst the flames, Selene's back was severely burned. Yet, thanks to her vampire healing abilities, her charred skin began to regenerate, slowly scabbing over and repairing itself.
Realizing she was no match for the ninja, Selene decided not to engage further.
Instead, she turned and struck the wall behind her with all her might, creating an escape route. She knew she had to leave the premises and inform Charles about what was unfolding.
As the flames dissipated, a gaping hole in the wall became visible. Seeing this, Shisui immediately gave chase.
Shisui spotted Selene still attempting to flee. Without hesitation, he drew the short sword strapped to his back.
"Uchiha Style: Sword Leap Strike!"
Leaping forward, Shisui slashed downward with precision.
"Swoosh!"
A flash of white light swept past. Selene cried out as a fresh wound tore across her back, her flesh splitting open and blood spilling forth. Yet, within seconds, her vampiric regeneration began mending the injury.
Not stopping, Shisui twisted mid-air and launched a second strike.
"Ugh... ah!"
Selene let out a muffled groan as another deep gash appeared on her body.
Realizing she couldn't afford to expose her back to Shisui any longer, Selene spun around, preparing to counterattack.
But just as she turned, Shisui reappeared directly in front of her. With one swift motion, he drove his short sword into her abdomen.
Selene gasped in shock, her eyes wide as she stared at the blade piercing her stomach.
"Is this... the end for me?" she thought.
Shisui twisted the blade before pulling it out, sending Selene staggering backward.
With a powerful kick, Shisui sent her crashing to the ground with a loud "Boom!".
Selene, flung into the backyard wall by Shisui's kick, collapsed with the crumbled debris as the wall gave way, burying her under the rubble.
Shisui calmly sheathed his short sword without sparing Selene another glance and returned to the office.
Standing before Lorelei, he reported in a steady voice, "Selene has been dealt with."
Lorelei looked at the young ninja before her, reached out to touch his cheek, and said with a delighted tone, "I'm very pleased with your performance."
She then turned her gaze to Jiraiya and said, "Perhaps it's time for you to share intelligence about the other ninja villages. We need more warriors like him."

Agent Phil Coulson entered his office, holding a satellite phone in his hand. He didn't dial immediately but seemed to be waiting for the right moment.
Time passed slowly, and as the plane approached New York, Coulson finally placed the call to Charles Doyle.
At that moment, Charles was in the underground laboratory of his base, discussing the alien spaceship with Red Queen.
Having just returned from the summoning realm, he was listening to the report on successfully hacking the spacecraft that had long resisted infiltration.
"Master, Agent Coulson from S.H.I.E.L.D. is calling."
Hearing Coulson's name, Charles suspected that something urgent had come up. He took out his phone and answered the call.
"Coulson, it's been a while."
Coulson's voice came through the line, sounding serious: "Mr. Doyle, something very pressing has happened, and I thought it was important to inform you directly."
Curious, Charles asked, "Pressing? What exactly happened?"
"An Asgardian fugitive has arrived on Earth. She's someone named Lorelei, capable of controlling men through her voice and touch."
"We suspect her target may be you. She's already headed toward the Charles Agency."
"I'm sending you her file and a video of our failed interception attempt."
As Coulson finished, the data was transmitted to Charles.
Charles turned to Red Queen and said, "Play the video."
A virtual screen materialized in the air, displaying footage of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s failed operation to intercept Lorelei.
Watching the video, Charles quickly pieced together the situation and remarked, "Coulson, thanks for the heads-up. I know how to handle this."
Coulson quickly added, "Mr. Doyle, Odin has sent Lady Sif to bring Lorelei back alive. Sif has a piece of equipment that can counter Lorelei's magic."
"Additionally, no man is immune to Lorelei's influence—not even Thor was spared. Only women are unaffected, so..."
It was clear that Coulson hoped Charles would deploy powerful female ninjas rather than risk himself confronting Lorelei.
Charles, however, shook his head as he listened, replying firmly, "If she hadn't crossed me, I wouldn't have minded Sif capturing her. But since she's invaded my agency, she'll have to pay the price for her actions."
With that, Charles ended the call decisively.
